Full Version: Carbon Fiber steering slider?

I was makings some CF stuff today and i wanted to know what you guys thought about a carbon fiber steering slider? Would this be a bad place for CF as it is not very forgiving? thanks for the imput
Hmmmm... I wouldnt think so.. I think ya need a high strenght alum. piece right there....

... But i think veritgo makes them for the LSP in cf, maybe if itsd thick enough...
i got some stuff thats about 4mm thick I just dont wanna waste my time, or my practice time when it breaks Smile lol

thanks for the offer, I will post some pics tomorrow, I did the ackerman top plate Center diff plate and slider, I am gonna use the stock slider for now tho lol
I had a CF slider on my Dominator/SM hybrid and it held up fine. That truck was 10 1/2lbs and used heavy MT tires and no breakage. I only ran about a gallon of fuel through it like that though, not sure what the long term effects would be.
