Not sure if anyone is aware that there is a newly opened off road track running on Saturdays in Dekalb at the site of the former AJ's Raceway, now called Intense Raceway Park. If anyone remembers the old off road track, it was honestly a real mess. Shane and crew have put a lot of time, money and effort into making the outdoor dirt track a legitimate place to race. With AMB scoring and PT capabilities, outdoor electric and plenty of pit and parking space, it's a great outlet for racers and bashers alike.

The track is new, and still undergoing changes, updates and improvements, and, as the operators are still learning off road, will continually evolve as they go. They will race a class for anything, as long as there are at least 3 to compete. Nitro and electric cars race on the same day, and seem to share the practice time without too much trouble so far.

Water on the track is at a minimum, if any, so you have true condition-changing off road racing. Tire, setup and driving are really crucial here, and it makes it plenty entertaining.

Races are every Saturday through the summer, unless announced on the IRP website. The track opens at 9-ish in the AM, and races start at noon. For more information, check out http://www.intenseracewaypark.com.

We'll be out there this week trying to generate some more electric interest with 2wd, 4wd and stadium trucks. Most guys are running mod motors in 2wd and 4wd and 19T motors in the stadium trucks, but like I mentioned, 3 of anything will make a new class.
We have been informed Smile. Word gets around quickly in these parts Smile.
