The car is sold, I watched it drive away tonight Sad
I never have liked the feeling I get every time I sell my pride and joy and watch it drive away.
Now I just have to wait, for what is going to feel like forever, for my new car to get here Big Grin
What's the next project? lol
A new 05' Crossfire SRT-6
it will look exactly like this one, but probably not for long Big Grin

Even though these 3 cars below are regular Crossfires,
I might have to get some new wheels like one of these....I love the stagered offset look!

I like the first and last one...
I like the second ones, then the first.... and IMO the last ones are fugly.
Oh wait I like the first and last from the second group. And I like the rims off the silver lol.
last one is gangsta. id like to do a 300c-long
The black rims with polished lip are off the chain!
Isn't the Crossfire essentially a Mercedes based car?

Yep, its about 80% Mercedes, its even built in Germany and shipped by boat to the USA.
The Crossfire is basicly a SLK 320 and the SRT6 is a SLK 32AMG.
The supercharger on the SRT even has AMG stamped on it when you take the Chrysler plastic cover off the engine Big Grin
Man, how many times did you sell that blue car to be buying this one? That Crossfire can't be cheap....
Nice,The second to last one (silver) is cold blooded.
Those are pretty slick cars...the only thing I ever felt was out of place, was the linkages that lift up that wing-let. It looks half-baked from an engineering excellence company... they need to work on that detail. Or just switch to a fixed wing...somthing like a CRT truggy droop wing on a Mugen MBX stay Big Grin

The crossfires aren't that expensive! They are Mercedes cars but being that they have Chrysler badging it brings the price down!

And Imo I don't think eraser76 really cares to much about price! lol

And eraser, I just remembered that the Dyno record at U.T.I. for a street legal car was held by a 95-99 Plymouth neon expresso. 900+whp! Useless knowledge.
Even at $45,000 - $50,000 brand new, they still gotta be high $30k-$40k cars used...if that's the route he's going. The Neon went $20k, so that's a big step up. For me. But I'm an old fart who drives a four door family car. So what do I know. Nothing, that's right. And I admit it. I'm done.
LOL Dave!
Yeah, I dont really care for the automaticly activated spoiler on the regular Crossfires either. The SRT-6 (like the one Im getting) has a bigger fixed mount spoiler as you can see in the top 3 pics.

The Base Crossfires sticker from 30k to 36k, the drop tops sticker for just under 40k or so.
The SRT-6 coupe stickers for 44 - 45k or so with the drop top around 50k

But.....with the high prices these cars stickered for, they didnt sell very well.
Mainly because DC didnt advertise the car for sh$t and people never knew that it was over 80% Mercedes!

Anyway....they have had over thousands of Crossfires sitting in the holding yard right off the boat, they have been sitting for over a year not selling to the dealers, dealers didnt want them due to them not selling well.

So....DC has decided to clear out the lot and let employee's do company leases on them for dirt cheap!

Needless to say, In the end, Im getting a brand new 05' SRT-6 with for $20 a month cheaper then what I was paying for my SRT-4 Big Grin
Good shopping!
