well i have been working some major time and i just got married but ,thats the good news that bad news is my wife thought my r/c's where just lil tyco toys so she handed them to her nephers' all of them,all this while i was in texas on a job i got back and i had a few other jobs pending but i figured the weather was warming up and it would be good to prep them and check them out since they where put up for so much time
,instead of the trucks and buggy's being in there place i found "towels"
i was like what the f*** so i started to rethink where i put them and started to look and pick here and there :confused: and the whole time she watched me with out saying a word,so she heard me talking to myself and finally asked whats up i asked if she had seen my trucks and stuff she paused and had this "stuck on stupid look" i said to her those bad boys are not just any toy or cheap either ,still stuck on stupid she said you mean those tyco's? i said what ? you know those tyco toys ,i turned and said mother fu**** right those toys :mad: now where are they? she said i gave them away i blew a nuclear holocuast in my living room and ask why she did that, she said well i figured you did not need them. now this is the type of s*** that gets people divorced and she is on egg shells with me now she gave away about $4000, worth of trucks and buggy's and access.and equiptment if not more,even my daughter looked at her and who told you to touch them, nhow this is just not a good year for already
now aint this something?

First, Congratulations on your marriage. I mean that. Its a beautiful event and you will eventually get over this.
Now, how is it that the woman that you married did not understand your investment in the hobby? This kinda stuff does happen, but it should not. I had a boat once and my wife hated it, said nothing, got to a point where she almost kicked me out, and then we had to make some changes that are too numerous for this forum. But my point is that spouses dont usually make mistakes like that, so I wonder if she had some competative issues with your hobby, or your being away, or something that takes you away from her? Not knowing anything about anything here and not wishing to offend, I would like to offer a humble opionion to do some major talking. Talking saved my marriage and enlightened both of us. BTW the boat is gone too.
On a side note. I would love to hear that your wife's family is very understanding and returns your property. Good luck!

It's been a while since I've seen Grim, but I know he had a couple WELL hopped up Savages, and I think a buggy or two. Not to mention the R/C Boats. I'm not sure from his post if the boats are gone too, or just the trucks...

Sounds to me like it's time to go re-claim these babys. If that doesn't work out, It's time to go shopping. I would go buy new ones to replace them & explain how she will pay for them. Giving away anyones property while they are not there is NOT good. I agree the kids have probably not even got them working at all, but it's definitely time Right Now to go get them back, Before any damage is done, Or worst yet they give them away because they can't make them work. This is definitely a sucky situation & needs to be fixed in some way. If it requires shopping on her dime, I would explain to her how Your stuff is Yours & Hers is Hers. Maybe the issue of giving away peoples stuff without them knowing, will sink in. I'm sure she did not understand. It's just time to make it right !

All I can say is that you are a good man if you didn't choke the *%^$ out of her on the spot and I hope it all gets worked out.
She does not take all the blame here. Where the hell were those kid's parents? They just let them take all that stuff to Cali? They owe you just as much for accepting those "gifts". No way would I let relatives of mine give away someone elses stuff to my kids - especially when the owner is not even home!
