I am simply amazed at the power!!! It felt very sluggish at first, but when I pulled out good 'ol leaning screwdriver and started turning this thing started screaming!!! It can almost pull the front tires of the ground on concrete w/ responses on my stretched-revo and 14/36 gearing. Temps were holding pretty nicely around 230. If it screams like this at tank #7, what happens when it really wakes up at the gallon mark?

I bet with a 40 tooth spur I might see a wheelie for the first time since I stretched out the revo Smile.
How long is yours over stock? My 3/4in extended will pull them with 15/38.
sounds good tune!! i cant wait to get my hands on one
1" at the front via the chassis and 3/4" via the setback arms. Total extension is 1 3/4". Cool
Jesus! No wonder that thing looks ten feet long...What pipe you have on there? I had stock, and went to ths and didn't see much if any performance gain I don't think.
I run the vantage carbon fiber pipe. Didn't really feel a difference when I put it on other than I won't burn my hand anymore if I accidentally touch it Smile.
Congrats on the new purchase. I picked up my 3.3 today from Al's, can't wait to break her in. Smile What break in method did you use Tune?
I did the traxxas method. I needed to lean it out a little from factory and wrap it up in aluminum foil to get the temps up to 200+. Other than that, it went smooth as silk.

I actually had to richen mine, I think the needles were off from factory. It was getting near 250 in the first couple of tanks real fast...No foil no body etc. I did traxxas too.
congrats tune. Its a very awesome motor.
glad your back in the Smt bracket!

The CF pipe you have is probably for the 2.5 Revo. You need to get the NEW pipe that is for the .18 engines to .21 engine. It has a reinforced stinger also. That thing looks so sweet. Check it out!!!

lol, I never left!

revo2k, If I set mine to 4 turns out like the manual stated, it wouldn't even go 99 degrees it was so rich. I would have to go wot for like 3 seconds just to get it moving around. I broke it in at around the 3-3 1/4 turn out (hsn) with foil, that's almost a full turn lean from where they recommend, lol. That got me temps in the 230 range. After breakin, I took off the foil and it dropped real fast to around 170-180. Leaned it out some more and it really started ripping! Smile Now I got it tuned to run around 230ish. I just finished a tank a few minutes ago and I'll go back outside in about a half hour to run some more. Unlike the last motor I had, I wanna try to run it outside for like 10-15 tanks at least before I abuse it in a race.
I know you werent out, out! But a blown engine, trans and servo all in one day would kep anyone sidelined... Thats what i meant
Nice Tune, I really like the motor (notice I didn't say love). It's still finicky in the tuning area but isn't too bad. Mine ran good all weekend at campmaxx, no flameouts in heats or races and the plug lasted all weekend. It did get temped at 300F after the 20 min main but that didn't bother me too much.
300 ouch, I dont recall mine ever getting above 270
300 is no ouch, most motors are ok as long as they are between 200-300F. I had plenty of smoke pouring out. I'm not woried in the least bit. Compression and pinch didn't change so........

BTW, the difference between 270F and 300F is miniscule. 250F to 350F is a big difference.
true but mine didnt stay at 270. Only for a second till I was able to adjust it. Now it runs at 245 all day long with tons of power. Either way as long as there was smoke then its fine.
well i just picked up 2. one for the jato and one for the revo.i cant wait till i have time to break them in!!
your gonna like em. I just wished I had tuned mine before the big race. Tempted mine after I broke about 13 minutes in the main and it was 180 lol. I could have sworn it would have been running at 240
the one in the jato is going to be insane!!!
triple backflip anyone?
i was already doing those! time for 4:beer:
Congrats, I still have not broken mine in. I've got my hands full with three motors to break-in ( Trx3.3, O.s.21 Vspec, and a RexP5). Actually, Im really NOT looking forward to it Sad enjoy!!
