I just purchased I high end wheel balancer for my nitro wheels.

You would not believe how much off balance our tires and wheels are.

I just did all my Mt and buggy tires, and I could not believe how unbalnced they were.

Just wondering if anyone else balances their tires, I know for bashing it wouldnt matter, but i am anxious to see at the track how different they feel.

I am thinking of offering this as a service, what do you think?
did you get the ballistic one , becuase i have one on the way, is it easy to operate?
Yes I did, yeah mine came wiht no instruction but I talked to Patrick the owner he was at Silver state and he got me situated. It just takes time and patience to get them balanced correctly.
cool when i get mine do you think you could help me out?
yeah, hopefully your will have instructions, he will be faxing them to me tuesday or so when they get back in the office.
hopefully lol thanks
george id be interested in getting my wheels balanced.
Ok, you can mail them to me or drop them off to me.

Im not sure if I want to get into this trackside, too time consuming and I would want it done right.
well right now Rich has my boa's so whenever you see him you can pick them up. Not sure how often you see him so just throwing the idea out. If not il have them shipped to you
So your not bringing it to LHR? I'd pay to get my wheels balanced.
Thats cool Ryan or definitely at the pro series, we will have time there....

RCDAD,
The thing with doing it at LH, usually my pit space is limited due to my parts, rc and all the other stuff i bring. and on the large table, if someone bumps it while its blancing it might throw it off (not 100% sure on this but I think it would rock the tire more if bumped) Also if I do one, then someone else might want to, next thing I know I have 5 guys wnating theres done, then I dont have to time to work on my own rc's and race. That is whay I want o avoid this if possible.
So how does it work? You put the tire on the balancer, then wait till it settles and add putty to the opposite side till it doesn't settle in a specific spot anymore?
Glad it worked well for you bud!
yeah Roc, bring your tires to lunch this week.... SHHH dont tell JOhn
*wispering* ok...hehehhehehe
cool! maybe at pro series I can use it for a bit and try to do my own. Being that I'm only racing one class there I'll have dung loads of downtime.
I'll pay you for the puddy or something.
george lemme guess why ur wheels are out of balance???? ps the sides of rims arent for landing on usually u try to land on rubber! Smile Wink lol jk hahahah
This sounds interesting, cause I know just how bad some of these wheels/tires can be!

So does this balancer work like the 1:1's do?
Where it spins the wheel, stops, then you rotate it by hand until the thing tells you were to stop and add the weight?
Am I hearing right that you add putty for weight?
Is that going to stick and not fall off in a race?

I bet it may make a difference if done right, but I wonder how long it would last.
Im also thinking that with the foams shifting around inside the tires, you may have to glue them to the wheels or something,
or the balance could get out of wack in one lap Sad
I heard that George.......
I'm never any good at whispering...
