my dad wants to get a buggy but this would be his first r/c ever, would this be a good buggy starter for racing???

and does it need a motor? if so what would be a good motor
Yes it does need a motor. It comes with an ajustable motor mount, so most ANY BB motor will fit in it.

As for a starter buggy for racing i would say yes for a couple reasons... This buggy has been very very durable and was raced at many dirt dawg races last year. The seller Balt71 Learned to race 1/8 with it and did ok for a beginer.

Heres a link to Ofna's site about the Buggie... One thing though... The tank actully is 145 cc's

It isnt the best race machine on the market but its simplicity and tough design makes it a great starter buggy for those new to racing
ok cool, i will see if he will buy it........what motor do you recomend? link please.

ive never run this motor but is supposed to smooth and easy to handle...
ok well my dad is going to work so i will talk to him tommorow and see if he wants it..
ok, cool. PM Balt71 if and when you want to make a deal..

Heres a link to another powerhouse motor that it relativly cheap

Rocco you can't race that in buggy though...
Sure you can. Intermediate buggy allows bigger than .21 motors. I'm pretty sure no one will complain at leisure either, being as they don't have a intermediate to run in. They just run them all together (advanced and intermediate).
Dan... Do you have any idea how many guys run RTR engines at LH??? Most all rtr buggies come with .26's..
It wont matter as long as he doesnt hit a national event, or pro series
yeah my dad can barely drive my monster truck outside with out hitting a parked car and garage. lol so ya he wont be going pro for a while

Yeah... I know a lot run the RTR motors. Since it was late at night I saw .26 and that was it. LoL I know that it isn't on the same level as a race .21 anyway...
