I received my MBX-5 last week. I got it used from someone on another forum.

Right now the diffs are at 5kf-7km-2kr. The shocks are 45 front and 40 rear. Is there anything wrong with that set-up?

What are good tires to run at LHR? I have crime fighters on the wabash rims and what I think are komodo dragon 2's on the dish wheels.

Is there a place I can find out what all the parts are? I have the manual, but it just lists the part number and what it looks like. It doesn't say what the part is.

I plan on getting a Novarossi T21BF 3-Port. I don't know what pipe yet, but I'll pick up a use one.

Also it says I need a .21. Can you use a bigger motor? I am just wondering why it has to be a .21.
Can't help you on setup, but it looks good. Any pics without a body on?
Put new pics in first posts
WOW thats nice! Shock weights seem a little heavy to me but, im not sure about buggies.
That is one nice buggy! lots of good hopups on there.

The Rules for 1/8 buggy racing limit the engine size to .21. Hence the buggies at all big races have .21's and its recomended to run a .21 but small club races and such should not have a problem running larger displacement engines unless you constanly take A Main 1st place.. then the other racers might have someting to say.
Thanks.
Very nice!! I think the diff fluid sounds fine but I am not sure on the shocks. I would definitely reccomend putting a .21 in there and no bigger so that you will not have any problems racing. Besides... a nice .21 is more than enough power. Can I ask what you picked it up for??
240 shipped. It came with a bunch of other parts also. Stock chassis, other aluminum parts, and stock replacements.

I am going to get a .21. I was just wondering why it had to be that.
WoW!! Sounds like you got a very nice deal...
I just wish I can get it up and running so I can get it to the track.

I need:
Nova T21BF
Pipe
Starter box
Batteries for starter box.
Does anyone know what manufacturer is better for hop-up parts: Fioroni or King Headz?

I am guessing Fioroni because their prices are a bit higher, but that is not always the case.
They are both good. I'd just go King heads less expensive and supports the american company.
Ok.
get ur self some C compound panther switches with green molded foams for LH
Both Fioroni and King Headz are quality parts. You cant go wrong with either one. I would recommend the King Headz. There in Indiana and Chris King races at Leisure Hours so you might be able to get him to bring some parts to the track instead of shipping them. Great product and excellent support.
Thanks

New wheels, foams and tires are only about 50-60 bucks. Not bad compared to the 100 monster truck.
nice buggy, and you got it at a great price.
