Anyone play?? I toasted the bearings on my skates so I am getting new wheels, swiss bearings, and a new stick (Bauer Vapor) tomorrow or friday. I have a few friends who play and didn't know if anyone else played rat hockey or anything. We will probably get people together from local teams to play this summer...
i play ice hockey dont know how dfferent it is but dont have inline skates just some "skater" ones lol
Dan I got a stick F/S lol
i played ice hockey up until like 3 years ago, got real expensive, but would be down for some rat hockey every now and then. u mean like ice rat right?
Generally roller is a bit easier than ice. Most of my friends that play play ice and then roller. I am not as good a skater on ice so I stick to roller for actually playing. I have a pair of Bauer vapor 2 skates (uber nice) but I decided to rollerblade on navy pier and it rained. It trashed my bearings...

If you get a pair of roller hockey skates though you need to play... it's most badass. LoL I think we are going to start playing rat hockey at a local roller hockey rink as well...

And for your comment this will be finding itself across your face. :-) Mmmm... 1 piece carbon fiber.

And no... probably roller rat. I can skate ice decent... but not well enough to really be able to play... but hell I guess you guys could use me as a target if we played on ice. LoL
i got some k2 skates and ive played street hockey before. I wasnt to bad at it.
I want to say that I have a set of K2's in a size 11?? that I would let go for really cheap if anyone needed some. I played in them but got a great deal on my Bauers. Since then I was hooked on the hockey skates. I can't wait to see the difference new bearings and wheels make... I need to decide on indoor or outdoor wheels though. Indoor wheels grip really well but are softer and will wear fast outside. Outdoor wheels have no grip inside... and I don't feel like swapping bearings or spending another $100 to get another set. Damn...
cmon dan one piece synergy carbon fiber lol
LoL... that vapor IMO is the nicest stick out. Well except for maybe the new Vapor XXX or whatever.
no thanks, im not gonna go all out for hockey on roller skates, if i wanted to do that i could play in my driveway, (that brings back some memories Smile ) but serriously we should get to gether some guys and go to center ice and play rat there, just i think u have to have full pads there, which may be a problem for some
Do they still do the roller hockey league at the lombard roller rink?
I'm not sure. I know there are 2 other rinks that have hockey though. (I honestly don't think the lombard one does it anymore) I am seriously thinking about getting into it though... I think I may have a padset and get into ice rat hockey and possibly look into a roller league. After the charity race I may actually sell off my RC stuff to fund hockey. (Seeing that I can play hockey when I am in college and my RC stuff will be worthless by the time I get out...
do vapor XXX is a POS saw two break in consecutive games , NEW!
Hi mike!
hey rocco lol
Well I will probably be getting a vapor for $60 (not a bad deal) unless I can find a synergy for cheap. I can always get a z-buble though as well from a guy at work... I will need to see. I think we are playing rat hockey friday night at center ice though...
Well I ended up getting a 1 piece Sher-wood stick instead. I love the thing. I played rat hockey for the first time on Friday night and loved it!! I now own my own helmet and plan on slowly getting the rest of the gear to play regularly. I definitely find ice more difficult than roller but I hope to get better. I had a few assists but never really a good shot at a goal. (It kind of sucked for the first half because tehre was only one goalie... therefore we had to play post. -hit the post to score-)
If any one wants to play hockey (Ice, or Inline), just tell me know.
I havent' been on my Roller blades in about 3-4 years, but I used to play roller hockey occasionally.

Freeride, check out These wheels for Inline Hockey. They are made for long wear outdoors, but still get decent grip inside. They are what I still have on my old Rollerblades.

Or these.
Cool. Thanks. I went and played ice for a while but I don't like it as much as roller. When it starts getting warmer I plan on playing roller a fair amount again.
