yea im pretty much just waiting on my new traxxas 3.3. it was pretty sweet, today my dad bought an air compressor and i thought it was for him but apparently he got it for my b-day! thats two things that the 'rents got me for my b-day so far... yea i just wanted to let everyone kno wat i got and just cause i am bored.....:joy: :joy:

When the GT sells I'm sending in the .15. That is, if LH doesn't have 3.3's to trade on-spot.

I see you use LHR for a engine swap where they make zero money and they have to take the time to ship your motor back to traxxas

i tracked my engine and it made it to traxxas today but they didnt recieve it so now its sitting in the post office waiting for someone to pick it up or to get sent back and hopefully they get it, if they dont then it gets shipped back to me and im S.O.L. can anyone tell me that there is nothing wrong and that traxxas will get my engine when monday comes....:mad:

No, I never knew you could until now and I think it's a cool idea. I generally use leisure for parts, you can ask anybody that lives around me that my desk is filled with leisure reciepts and packages and stuff....
But you know what? If I'm strapped for cash, hell yes I'm going with whatevers cheaper.

traxxas will get your engine Monday and everything will turn out ok.

I'd say that would be possible. They always had decent turn around time with my motors. If the availability of the 3.3 is good then you should have it.
I would say just to get whatever is cheaper and more convient, any hobby shop has to bring in ALOT of money, most things i will get from LH but I have found a few things that are like 15+ than anywhere else, i dont mind paying and extra 5-10 but just about anymore than that I'll go where it is cheaper.

it is true and if i were tight on cash i would do the same thing
Basically the only time I get something off the internet is if I am ordering a bunch of parts and my LHS doesn't have a some of the things I want.
On the hobby shop topic... I have no problem supporting my local shop (Al's) because I have found several items so fat that have been up to $10 cheaper than at LH... :-)

Yeah... when I did the BB onversion to the revo... after everything it ended up a little over $25 or so more to buy it from LH instead of Al's... even wit hthe 10% off.
Hobby shops do not bring in ALOT of cash FYI.
And almost all hobby shops will price match. I you tell them something is cheaper somewhere else they will match the price.
I know they do not... but where one shop may sell a lower amount of product at a slightly higher price... another may sell it for slightly cheaper and sell more of it. I appreciate the deals I am able to get while still supporting the local shop. It is better than having to choose between a deal and the shop. I get both...
my truck is now ready to accept the 3.3!
on another note i have had good experiences with lh and there prices. when i bought my DX3 i went in and straight up told scott that i was wanting to buy the dx3 and that i found it for a cheaper price for 209 at ultimate hobbies. he came back with 215 and i had some other things to get and it turned out i still had enough money to go and race that weekend. just my .02
