Just got done painting this. I think next time, I'll use a little more liquid mask. There was a little bleeding in 2 small places, but mainly it was kinda hard to get off of some areas.

I wish I could keep it lmao...Has to go to Traxxas Junkie soon. Anybody else want a body painted? Huh? Huh? I charge $6 per large color portion, 3 for little stuff color wise, plus labor and body lmao...Mike Czech, watch out! once I get an air compressor....We'll see.:p: Too early for smack talk lol....
Oh yeah check out my new RPM axle carriers on the rear too lol...
Sweet!! When can I come get it? LOL
NEVER! lol, once you pay you can have it.
Needs some black stripes........................just kiddin'. So that's a spray can job?
Yep!
Kind of a Sunoco - Roger Penske color theme there.
looks pretty good man, good way to work in those colors, a little steadier with the exacto and it would be perfect. Use 4-5 coats of LMF the thicker the better
Dave, No clue what you're talking about but thanks lol....
use 4 or 5 coats of liquid mask lol and I was just saying that some of the lines are a little shaky, more practice and u'll be painting for everyone in here Smile lol
Mike yeah I kinda wanted to get this done by the weekend...I got about 1 thin coat and 2 thick.
lol that must have sucked lol i hate when that crap is too thin, u can never peel it up, 4 medium coats works perfect for me, but if i know i am gonna use alot of floursescent colors, i use extra mask
Good job Revo. Mike do you spray the mask on or brush it on?
You brush it on.
Naw buddy. you can either brush or spray liquid mask depending what brand you use. Im asking how "czech" does it.
oooohhhh...ok.
Airbrushing liquid mask saves alot of time,it just clogs you brush quicker....so you have to move fast.Smile

revo, are ya interested? I can cut ya a decent deal
looks real good for a quik job
I brush it on, u can spray it on, which prolly saves u more mask in the long run, but i think its not worth the added headaches unless u go and get some cheapo airbrush from home depot or sumthing
why not use tape??
paint can bleed through tape.
many painters prefer tape, mostly the ones that cut out there design on say a piece of wax paper and then lay it into the body (Marty Korn) but i think it is just a pain in the ass and does not cover as well
ohh i get it now..then liquid mask just peals off?
ya think of it as elemers glue, just better lol
