LOL!!! That was the chin hair night!
Rocco, Ryan... WTF?!?! LSP setup... not chat room. All back together today. And has anyone else had a fairly loud gear mesh even when it is set perfect?? It seems louder than my Storm was but it is pretty much perfect. I have tried it a little tighter and a little more loose to make sure and same thing. Could it just be the # of teeth?? I have a 13 T clutchbell on what I think is the stock size center gear...
And if I am going to get a set of wheels and tires what should I get and with what foams?? They would be for indoor at LH now. Any idea what I should look into as an outdoor combo as well?? Thanks
Indoor = C Boas with stock grey Panther foams.
Hey freeride i dont know if you have or not but check out http://www.truggyracers.com. There is alot of info and set ups for the lsp there.
I picked up my new CVD's and they will be installed tomorrow. I also finally picked up some nice Hudy hex drivers...

Definatley spend some time reading on this site. One section for the LSP (FAQ or sticky) has great set up info and a PDF download on what the changes and adjustments actually do. This way you can learn to do your own set up and see how certain changes will effect your vehicles handling.
Well I have the new CVD's on and it's amazing how much more stable it is at speed without the bent ones whippin around in there. I adjusted the toe and camber and that mad a big difference in the steering. I still have some slop in the servo saver and through the links to the ackerman arm... I may need someone to look at it at the track and give me some guidance... I know that a heavier servo saver spring would really help but I won't be able to get one before race day. :-(
I use the stock spring... Just crank it down some if you feel its slipping... Dont go crazy though
It is cranked down... it still feels loose. Maybe the previous owner actually put a softer one on then...??
Hmmmm... Well the whole rack is like 5 bucks so maybe its just worn.... Id give ya a spring but i gave my spare to a guy with a POS hellfire Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink
LoL... Oh well... I guess I'll see how it runs like this. I'm guessing you will be at the track so if you are would you mind taking a quick look through my steering setup??
Ill check it out dan.... Im no sonny O but if theres a problem i might have a part or somthing bro
the stock LSP spring is pretty heavy.. just tighten it down some and you should be ok.
That is why I am thinking it may even be a lighter spring... the thing is cranked down pretty good. That is a small part of the steering. The links to the ackerman arm seem to be a bit sloppy but I don't know how to correct it. That is why I figured I would swing by the pro table tomorrow. LoL (Plus I cut my fuel tubing so you guys can't laugh at me... well at least for that.)

Will find something to laugh at though!!! ( J/K!!!)Confusedmash:
Well I haven' cut my hair so ther is always that. LoL

I can't wait to get the LSP on the track though to see how it handles... and actually be able to use the power of that motor...
I have some learning to do with the new truggy but overall I am very happy. Once I get a set of tires and mess with my droop up from I think I will be ok. My motor was cookin a little bit but once I richened it up it ran ver well. Temped between 230 and 250. I think with a little more track time as well as getting the steering dialed it can only get better. Thanks to anyone who helped me out today...
You'll do fine.. Baby steps bro... You cant expect to be be an A mainer on your first time out.... Droop ajustments will help you a bunch
Dan, sorry to hear that your LSP actually ran today...I was counting on picking that beotch up cheap from you this week when you switched to (fill in truck name here). Oh well, keep it up and spank all these guys in UMT, man.
Oh yeah, I said it.
Dave, get a buggy. LOL I am getting a MBX-5.
Didn't you read about it? I'm getting a buggy for practice so I can be a better MT driver.

so you expect to get better driving your mt by driving something thats 100% different as far as driving on a track? If you want to get better at mt then practice with the mt. Practicing with the buggy will only make you better at buggy not mt.
It was a joke...nevermind
You guys are a riot. Dave... just pick up a UMT. They are tons of fun!!
