Ok I Bought This Truck From A Friend At Work For 125 (ITS THE RTR GT PLUS) I Plan On Getting A 1/8th Monster Truck To Race But Thought This Would Be A Cheap And Easy Way To Get Use To A Nitro Car. My First Question Is (these Will All Seem Dumb I'm Sure) Do I Need Some Body To Hold My Car Before The Start Of A Race? In The Magazines I Always See Them Held Before They Start. Next Is Are They Or Can They Be Raced Durring The Winter Indoors? And One More Is There Any Thing Going On Ether Tomarrow Friday The 3rd Or Sat 4th. It Has A Few Broken Parts But I Plain To Take Care Of Them Tonight. Thanks For Any Help
well yes you can race them in the winter and there will be open practice tommorow, friday and on saturday.

check out this link and look at the schedule on the left.

Welcome

Yes- I will be there too
Look for one of many long haired hippie wannabe's with bandannas----LMAO.

Yes- Holding---depends---not for Quals but for Mains I think so
Yes- on the inddors running---LHR is year round in and out
Cool As Long As I Get It Up And Running Ill Be There Thanks!
As for pit guys holding the truck for the start...it's best if you have someone do it for you because you can keep the engine cleared out by revving it until it's time to race. I did see a truck or two without a pitman just line up and go. If you know you can idle for 15-30 seconds and still get off the line ok, you could run with out one. If you don't have one, and make the mains, just ask some to help get you started...they will. Everyone is helpful. Don't be afraid to ask a racer from another class. He should have time if he isn't fixing a broken truck. The mains will be the only time you will have to worry about it, because the qual's are rolling starts straight from warmup laps.
Oh Thats Why They Hold Em Up. Well I Picked Up The Stuff I Need And Am Going To Go Try To Fire It Up Now, Normally I Would Be At Work But I Took A Sick Day To Do This, If I Dont Use Them I Loose Them. See You Guys Tomarrow Then. By The Way My Name Is Brandon And Ill Be Wearing A Dark Blue Puma Hoody, Thanks Again
Hey Brandon- Welcome to the rest of your life! The reason I say that? You took a day off work to get your Shiz together. Bless you brother! This hobby/sport has cost me thousands of $$$ getting things ready. Your already hooked!
The GT is an awesome platform. Stadium truck is a harder class to be very fast in. The trucks are very power-to-weight sensitive which can or cannot make them very exciting.

Good Luck with your debut. The guys that hang at Leisure are very willing to help anybody get on the right track(no pun). Please ask Qs and get advice. Try to come out Sunday for the Races. If your not sure your ready to race, come out and watch for a while. Look me up, Nick Altieri, Bald, crabby guy, trying to find that perfect set-up...Wink LOL
Hey, have fun with the GT. Very good starting platform. BTW, could you type normally? No offense lol, it's a little hard to read when you capatilize every word IMO.Smile

Nick is right everybody is very friendly and will be willing to help you out and the GT is a great truck I wish I got to run mine alittle bit more. If you are ever out to LH on a sunday im goin to start racing on sundays again but I usually wear my Associated, Reedy blue sweatshirt and I wear blue glasses and im alittle kid well 15 years old. But dont hesitate to ask anybody.
