Is it worth getting the modded version of the 528 or stick with the stock price diffrence 334 unmodded 399 modded from http://www.carolinasrc.com/Webstore/Scri...ategory=98

Also if anyone has this motor what pipe are you running?
Chris the 528 eight port is a MONSTER... I dont think a modded one is nessacary . IMO
Chris

You know my opinion but if you have any questions just ask.
Is it going to make a big diffrence from a unmodded to a modded. Also what pipe to use?
I had a 528XR............................=(.........

Think I'm gonna try a un-modded this time.
9886 is what I ran on mine.
Guess ill be buying an unmodded, this a credible place to buy? http://www.carolinasrc.com/Webstore/Scri...roduct=443 also what clutch bell you guys running and do i have to make any changes to the lsp?
Chris

My 528 gets awesome fuel mileage. Not noticeably slower if any than Richs, I thought. I have over 4 gallons on mine and I still cant turn it over when its cold.

One thing to note, a modded engine has a smaller tunning window, so your tuning skills should be on the up and up, if you are leary about tuning stay away from modded engines. Also the 528 is a little finicky to tune, but once you get it there it stays there all day. I just found you have to adjust more LSN then HSN

Also check with Pete Worth on the grid, he mioght be a little cheaper than than 334
I run a JP2 but will be running a ttr 9797 long pipe shortly
Thanks George how would i get in touch with Pete Worth?
Get a hold of him on the grid Chris..... Good prices. You can try Aaron from RCbuggyshop too.

14 tooth on the CB to answer your other question.

I agree with George on the modded motor thing. A couple of times he was in front of me on the back straight and its wasnt like I was catching up right away. You can tell that the motor pulls hard and has plenty of power, but not needed for where we are racing now.
hot mod is nice and probably provides minimal fuel savings and minimal extra speed. These guys know what they are talking about, I would just follow their lead.

What clutch shoes and springs do you guys run (Rich, George)
http://www.chitownrc.com/showthread.php?...ight=aaron

there is a link to Aaron Walker at RCbuggyshop.com
Hey Tex, you gonna put it in your revo.. Was the p5 too weak for your tastes?
