I was finishing up my T4 tonight, and just had the shocks left. Well I had to build and rebuild the front twice. The first rear I got perfect on the first try. The second rear that was something different. I was in the process of trying to release the air out of the oil and when I pulled the shock shaft(he he shaft j/k) down the oil shot out across the room and hit my friend in the eye it was too funny. But I finally got that one perfect. I never have trouble with the shocks leaking, just the correct dampening, that's what I hate.
Anybody else hate shock building? Smile
yeah same here. acutally I'll assemble the shocks but its that messy shock oil that I hate.
Yeah when the oil is running all over and tools start flying. Always fun.
gotta love the revo for that fact. Little to no mess everytime. Completly full and not overfull either. Diff oil i hate the most. Especially if the seal somehow moves and you gotta take the ring gear out after its all already got oil all over it. O well gotta love the hobby your in
Oh yea, the Traxxas Big Bores are a major pain!
I do have to say this though, every set of asscoiated shocks I have buildt, they habe always lasted a long time, so I must be doing somtime right.
I rebuilt my shocks today at about 2 am in the morning trying to get out to LHR. It was a nerve-racking experience that had to be repeated three times and they still are all about 1/32 off but I just couldnt take it anymore so I got them as close as I could. Needless to say I finshed most of my RC10GT rebuild by 5am. But still have stuff to do to it and still have not made it out to LHR.
Sigh....I am gonna go out on Wednesday. I hope!
