Always gotta come in for the comic relief. :bustingup
Thanks for the compliments guys.

I've used shock boots before, didn't take long to rip them up, then after that all they did was collect dirt. Total breakdown? LOL I just got this truck in running condition. Its not coming apart unless I get a UE Gen4 servo saver to install.

I might wipe the driveshafts off, but thats about it lol
Looks like an air hose job to me...

And what is this gen 4 servo saver?? what does it do better than said gen 3 servo saver?? LoL

(And can I ask for a ballpark as to how much you have into this truck??
just hit it with an airhose to get the water out of the bearings and stuff or u might have to do a tear down, I think the TTR boots fit those shocks, they are the best, and Im not just saying that, I never ripped one
FreeRideJunkie Wrote:And what is this gen 4 servo saver??

http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/servo_saver.shtml tryin to pick up a used one for $40 to $50

FreeRideJunkie Wrote:And can I ask for a ballpark as to how much you have into this truck??

mmmmm $2,200 sounds good, that includes chargers, cost of replacements for stuff ive broken, motors that are no longer useable, other hop ups that I have bought (and dont run cause I sold them).
Dan, its a UE servo saver. It has the spring attached to the actual linkage for the steering.

Rob beat me to it.

Rob, I seen that you have dibs on the one on UE. Are you getting it? I knew you were looking for one. I was going to say that I know someone who wants one, but I wasn't sure if you had one or not.
UE-Maxx Wrote:Are you getting it?

I need to see pics first.
Wasn't sure if he sent you any through a PM. I noticed he didn't have any in his thread.
Good God... that would be the day I spend $90+ on a servo saver...
Dan, you just spent over $100 to get that revo turning. If it were a tmaxx, it would be alot more.
FreeRideJunkie Wrote:Good God... that would be the day I spend $90+ on a servo saver...
thats on the old UE site, better pictures. Its $74 on the new site, and like I said, most go for $40 to $50 used.

Thus the reason I don't have a T-maxx anymore. I moved on with the times LoL. Though I would take this maxx anyday...
Rob you are insane spending $2,200 on an r/c! I bet you could win most of that money back going to truck shows! Or lumber jack competitions and beting people that you truck could cut down a tree faster that their saws!!!!! love that truck!!

btw you are never allowed to play tag with me and dan!!!!!!!!!!
Rob, what is the 'new' site? I always went to unlimitedengineering.com
did you kill a small dog with you maxx????? looks like you have part of it stuck to your axle?
FreeRideJunkie Wrote:Always gotta come in for the comic relief. :bustingup

I know my place....and it's not giving advice on Tmaxx's. or much of anything else come to think of it.

If I can make someone smile today, it's a good day. Big Grin :joy: :wavey:  all the happy icons! ! !!!
overyeoj Wrote:did you kill a small dog with you maxx????? looks like you have part of it stuck to your axle?

Is that based on firsthand experience with small dogs stuck to truck axles????
overyeoj Wrote:did you kill a small dog with you maxx????? looks like you have part of it stuck to your axle?

I'm sure it is possible!!!! I would not want that thing hitting me in the leg a WOT!!

And dave your comic relief is always welcome!!
Tex Wrote:Rob, what is the 'new' site? I always went to unlimitedengineering.com

that is the new site, the old site is still on the unlimitedengineering.com name, but its the older generation look.

My dog was unharmed in the bashing, just rolled off the body lol.

I just got in from another bash, uh oh. Pics coming soon.
Rob, what time do you get out of school?
squirrel Wrote:And dave your comic relief is always welcome!!

Thanks, I was about to stop cracking-wise but since I have your permission I will continue the pot shots. Rolleyes

2pm.

Heres the story, I was out jumping, doing flips, etc, then I just wanted to try to hit the ramp as fast as I could to get some massive air, well the last one I was going to do went WAY higher than I expected, and I sorta forgot to hit the throttle to pitch it back and I did a hard nose dive into the ground (took a pretty big chunk of earth out of the ground) Over the last 2 days, ive done at LEAST 20 hard nose/tail dives, landed sideways a ton of times, etc, lots of abuse, and all that broke was a pillowball. NO damage at all to anything else.

The bad ass Racer X suspension kit DrDex on UE sent me had spare pillow balls, so after not even 3 minutes of work, my truck is back in running condition.

gotta love supermaxxs Cool
Just be thankful that it broke off with enough to grab onto to actually get it out of the arm... That could have been a lot more expensive... (And how do you forget to hit the throttle?? LoL)
FreeRideJunkie Wrote:Just be thankful that it broke off with enough to grab onto to actually get it out of the arm... That could have been a lot more expensive...

i could have just put a slot in it to unscrew it out.

FreeRideJunkie Wrote:(And how do you forget to hit the throttle?? LoL)

by being suprised how much air I got in the little area im working with.
