Since everyone else has one! Here is a place where the 1/1oth scale guys can talk! As per the pics I have a Losi xxx-nt, running red springs up front with 30 wght and in the rear I got the orange springs with 40wght. I just did this last night and am thinking that 30 and 40 is way to heavy for this truck. Any reccomendations on which weight to use?
Not a clue on that but what tires are you running?? Some slightly worn int taper pins hopefully... I have heard a few remarks about them working well on all 4 tires as well instead of ribs up front. I used to run the ones that were half ribbed and had half little tiney bumps for up front and pink tapers out back...
I have pink tapers in the rear, and i'm running the ribbes up front. I was gonna see how they worked at liesure, or have someone tell me the setup that is working at liesure. It is setup still for the stl track, so I have no clue what liesure is gonna be like!
Yeah... some people liked the ribs up front others liked the tapers because it gave them more turning bite... try them both up front but def. tapers out back...
Try running Adam Drake's set-up and tweak it from there. You still got them Switches I gave with the Losi ? them might work there too. Were those Pink Tapers I gave with the truck ?
Nope I was gonna run the ribs in back!

My manager has the switched on his rustler(ras trying to run or-road tires). No I just bought the tapers, the ones you gave me were worn down so i replaced them. They are still laying around somewhere though.
Ahhh ok.....I thought I gave you a set of new tapers. nevermind =P
THey had been worn down, and I kinda helped it along. they still got some tread left. I will steal the switched back and try those out at the track.
Im running the same springs as you, still using the shock oil that came with the kit. I think it was 30wt but did look thin.
When I pulled them apart last night it was really thin. So I was hoping snakebite could remember what weight he used if he changed it. The 40 in the rear is way to thick, the back end won't rebound when pushed down and it's not a bent shaft, I'm gonna try so 20 or 25 and see how that works.
Maybe 35/30 ?
20 or 25 is too light. That I know. It will be way to springy rather than having a nice plush feel...
Maybe I'll just pull the 40 out of the rears and put 30 in it! seems decent in the front so it should work.
I think that would be your best bet. The most important thing is running a smooth line anyway. (In other words get to the track early on Sunday...)
I work sunday! Seeing as how i'm full time i have to have 40 hours a week and I took off sat so I can't take another day off. That and I gotta see if we can get some more life out of the motor cause i don;t have another just yet.
well if all else fails just do WOT and finish it off. No use making anything suffer that wants to get broken.
Good idea ryan! IF we can get it started!
I thought the losi 30wt oil looked thin...Looked like trans oil to me
I got a RC10GT. Putting the tranny back together with a new case, gears, bearings, diff balls. Rebuilding the shocks this week. I only have some 25WT oil I was gonna use for now, I have a few different spring sets. I figure I'll just figure it out. I am running proline edges up front and mini pins in the back.
