Latest Reputation Received---what is this and what does this mean???
it means that's the last reputation any board member left for you, be it good or bad reputation.

green is good, red is bad.
Red is evil people
Does it have any relation to trader feedback?

How do I know who left that Rep? Being Positive then why not leave the calling card.
I can understand the negative.

How do I leave it for others? If I choose to do so.
See the checkmark/ X button under a user's name ? Thats where positive/negative reputation points are left.

Has nothing to do with trader feedback. More of a compliment on a usefull post or a response to negative said.
I agree.

Well I have one but I dunno who left it and for what reason.
where is this check box thingy next to ur name??

I just did....
i just saw
Cmon guys. This is B-S

This is one of the complaints by some and including myself.
Now there is a full page of this music crapola and it ticked me off to see how you guys are here.
Highjacking threads and taking it off course.
There is a place for crap like this and I really appreciate it if you would use it for what it was ment to be used for---THE LOUNGE you topic is not General RC now is it?!

Now I started this thread and it was helpful to me and it looks helpful to another in this thread.

I say thank you to the ones who replied respectfully to the topic at hand.
Bio, did any of the posts answer your question before it was hi-jacked by the kids on the board ?

Hopefully you got your answer.

Rich.
Yes it did and it was helpful. Still I would like to know who left them ;-)
Then NOTO asked something---It got answered.

ALso when someone does this--is it an instant thing?
I ask because now I see two when I go the user CP but to the left under my avitar it show one. I click on the checkbox and it says I have 15 and I am even.

BTW---I did not find anything in the FAQ about this and is why I posted it.

Thank you for asking
It's points building thing. So just because you see that 2 people have left you positive rep points doenst mean you'll see 2 green dots under your user name. Each rep left is worth a certain amount of points. So when you get enough points, then you'll move up to 2 dots so on and so forth.
Ahh I am understanding this more now.
This is kewl and not something I have seen on other forums before, very nice to have.

So how many points is one dot worth?

It may take 1 or more persons to leave you pos rep but will it show how many times someone left you this?
I have it for two threads. So it can repeat for the same thread right or does the threads have anything to do with it?
I assume that is where they left the rep linked from the from a thread and it may be based on that topic then.
If this makes sense.
Your making sense. You should have 3 now. I left you one. You can leave one reputation comment per post. So if you have 30 posts in one topic, you can recieve 30 reputation comments. Not sure how many points each reply is worth. I thin Mr.Tune was saying that the more rep points you have the higher the points you leave for someone are worth.
Now you have 2. So hopefully you understand alittle better on how it works. YOu can see your total points in your "User CP" top left corner.
.
Thanks

Now I see this and you bumped it up

Your reputation on this post is Extremely Positive.
You have 117 Reputation points.

From the 15 I had.

To add what I said before---if a newbie understood this---I would see this as that may be the person to talk to about a RC problem. It gives the feeling of that person has a good rep and seems to know what the heck they would be doing and saying.

Thanks again for clearing this up.
This is def something to keep and put in the FAQ.

Yes and no... Most of the points are in reference to how helpful a post or thread were, but just the same, if someone says something to upset someone, they can get bad rep marks, which doesn't mean they know less about something... And just becouse someone had high rep marks doesn't mean they are the person to go to. Example, Look at Rocco's rep points. He has quite a few, but I wouldn't ask him for SPECIFIC help on a Revo, he hasn't owned one. But if I had a question about a Savage, he'd be top on my list.
The reputation system is a honor based system which can rank members based on the usefullness of their posts. If you find someone's post very helpfull, you can leave them positives reps for that post and vise versa. As far as seeing who left the comment, all that a member has to do is leave their name in the comment area Smile.

Now, where it gets interesting is in the power ranking. By default, when you leave a positive rep, you'll give the other member 1 point. You can gain reputation power with your post count, the length of your membership, and your rep points. Using tex as an example, he no longer will give you 1 point for giving you rep. He'll give you 53 points everytime he gives you rep for a post.

Hope this helps any left over questions.

Also I've gone ahead and deleted all the fluff. This is a good question with good answers type thread. Let's stay on topic folks.
NewGuy,
Thanks that puts in to a better perspective for me

Tune,
Yes it does and thanks

I hope other newcomers will find this helpful to them like I have.

thanks alot guys for helping me understand this rating system.
I hope the new boards will keep this option.

LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION-----LOL
The new boards will for sure have this feature turned on.
