now I know I have a t-maxx and so do others and im always asking questions. so I figured I would make a t-maxx thread just like the general revo discussion.
for racing a t-maxx what oils should i use for the stock t-maxx shocks?

thanks, traxxas thasher
do you have the stock red springs?
yeah
i've never raced with those but I know if you use thick oil with that setup you'll blow shock caps left and right... Just bashing sround the street I used to blow shock caps with anything 50wt +....

I would try some 30-35wt or something close to that and just test it on the track.
ok thanks
allright I need a link to where I can buy the panther molded green monster truck foams. please make sure they are a reasonable $$$ and are in stock. thanks.

I would buy from leisures but they are out of stock and have no idea when they will get more.
thanks rocco but they dont have the panthers. oh well... are the racers edge foams good or what other foams will last long in the proline bowties standard size. thanks

traxxas thasher
Trinity multi stage or racers edge multi stage are both great alternatives
kk thanks tex
im going to support leisure hours on this one!
got my brand new trinitymulti stage foams. those things are firm. I stuffed it all in I didnt even trim the sides is that good?

also how can you take off bowties from the rims. I used to do boiling but I heard (correct me if im wrong) that, that way ruins your foams. any input is helpful.

thanks, traxxas thasher
boil them....you have new foams so it doesn't matter if you mess up the useless ones right? or am I missing something?
how long do u boil the rims and tires for to get the tires off??? i never did that before but i got some good tires on junk rims...thanx
tex I meant when I go to change my rims that have the new foams in them.

it usually takes me about 15-20 minutes to boil per side.
k so i boil till the tires comes off the rim or just till the glue is easy to pull apart?
boil the water first.
put the tire in the water and make sure that half or more off the tire is in water.
leave it for about 10 mins.
take it out and run it under cool water so it is not to hot to handle.
whichever side of the tire was in the water is the side you start to peel.
if the tire does not want to come off dont force it to much or you can rip it.
if the tire is not coming off at all re-boil the tire for about 10 mins.
once one entire side is peeled put the opposite end into the water and repeat.

if these are crappy rims and dont mind the paint peelin off then you can leave them in longer.

if I were you and the rims where great then I would check them every 5 mins.

hope this helps. this is how I do it and so far it works great.

if anyone else has another way im sure bottled would appreciate it.

k good cause I think I heard that the boiling method can ruin your foams.
but your ok because you have bad foams.

let me know how it went when you do it.
will do thanx for the info
any time
when you are running your truck outside and it is about 38 degrees outside and when you are trying to get the temps up does your engine rev high when you go to let it idle. if so does anyone know why this is?

also could it be because the engine is under 175 degrees.

I was running my truck today trying to get my truck up to 225 and I hit 158 degrees and then my spur stripped. when I would make a high speed pass and then go to let it idle it would rev up high and then idle. my low speed is very rich so it cant be that it was too lean, and my idle was good not to high.

please help.

thanks, kevin
not mine after a high speed pass with my 2.5 and i stop then i hit the gas and it sounds like it strugles for gas or air i cant figure it out...and i really cant explain...
