they have no place for them actually molded into the body like most care, the mount has a mold to fit over the body which u fasten down with for screwes and then the plate bolts the the plastic mount right????

If you buy a car in a state that doesn't require a front plate there will be no spot for it on the car....go to a dealer in indiana and look for yourself. In states that require a front plate there will be a factory spot to put one. I noticed this many years ago as an early teen. Front plates make cars look so much worse than a clean bumper line.

Police pulled me over and pointed out I didn't have a front plate. I played dumb (not tough). The officer asked if I had another car. I answered yes. He asked "Does it have the same license plate number as this one?"

So that's where the cops used to be coming from on the subject. They figure you "split" the set of plates between two cars and saved the fees for one.

I now run front plates. I don't need to give the police an open invitation to having a conversation with me about anything, anytime.

Cook County requires a front plate, but I think you can get away with only a back plate outside cook county, at least thats the way it was when I was a kid. The reason front plates are required in some places is the front plate reflects radar guns better allowing the cops to tag you easier, or with photo radar so they can track you down and send you the ticket.

Front plates are required everywhere in Illinois i do believe. And believe it or not if your liscense plates are not LEVEL a cop can ticket you for that!

It's one of those F.U. tickets the cop can write!! That is why you are nice to a cop. There are hundreds of them, another from state is you can get a ticket just for breaking a law in the book. lets say you get a ticket for doing 65 in a 55 he can give you a ticket for speeding and a ticket for breaking a law! kinda b.s. when you think about it!

a cop can give you a ticket for doing 5 mph over the speed limit. It happened to my sister and it was total bs. O well a law is a law. Nothing you can do except take it like a man

ok, well maybe they do need the money but, i think they need to learn how to manage it a little more, especially here in illinois, the taxes are outragous, my aunt just bout a house out in arizona and her daughter bought one in nevada, they dont have sales tax and their house taxes for a brand new house are just a little more than what we pay here, i realize that nevada has the casinos to bring in the money, but not AZ, not sure if they have sales tax or not.

usually cops have like a 5 mph grace area where they dont give tickets but it depends on the situation, like was it in a residential area where kids play and could possibly be hit or something, or was the weather bad which 5mph over could really dangerous for the weather conditions, stuff like that, and most of the time when i stop someone for speeding i approach the car to give the person a warning, but if they are assholes or try to argue with me then i hook them up with a ticket. I know some people don't like the police but without them life would be like something on madmax or something.

+1 joey, i try to never argue with cops, unless it's b.s. and we both know it! Most cops by me have a 10 mph grace, unless your weaving in and out of traffic.

Thats funny...The stock trany on the SRT-4 is not weak, Im pushing 400+hp through my stock trans with no problems. I know of 100's of SRT's doing the same on the National SRTforums.com site.
The only ones that are having trans problems seem to be the dumb teens that dont know how to drive, dumping the clutch, wheel hopping, gear drops, and so on. I couldnt count how many Ive seen take off from the line, wheel hopping and the dumb Sh*% dont back off the gas! Then they wonder why they broke something

Now, back on topic....I think the Camaro will sell good if they build it, but I still like the Challenger better

There is a second camaro concept out there that looks more like a '67-68 that would sell better, but I agree, for now, the Challenger kicks the Camaro concepts' butt on style!
