No Joe for Joe's....
Subject: Starbucks Denies Coffee To Marines!!

Starbucks Denies Coffee to Marines !!
Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let
them know how much they liked their coffee and to request that they send some of it to the troops there.
Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee.
So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by buying any of their products!
As a war vet writing to fellow patriots, I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular! with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the ground fighting street-to-street and house-to-house for what they and I believe is right.
If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can discard it and no one will never know.

Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there again when I deploy once more.

thats harsh....damn starbucks ill never buy from thier again
I never went there before and I'm darn sure not going to go there now!!!
I'd like to see that letter from Starbucks.
RCDad Wrote:I'd like to see that letter from Starbucks.
I agree, but it that is true what do we expect, Starbucks is based in Seattle. Where they too just like California want "God" out of every aspect of American Culture.
Yeah, but taking such a stand about the U.S. Military would be suicide.
Sounds like internet chain letter hokey to me.
I agree with RCDad on this one.... Starbucks should just close their doors now if that letter is true, I highly doubt it's true though.

I don't buy from Starbucks anyway.... Their coffee sucks IMO and the good things there are $4 a cup (for a Vento)
My coffee and beer tasts are alike, the cheap brand usually tasts just as good as the expensive.
Dunkin Dounut Coffee is better that Starbucks and its only 99 cents.
Amen to Dunkin Donuts coffee! Some of The Best...and close to donuts! mmmmmm, donuts.....

"Donuts. Is there anything they can't do?"

Wow, thats really selfish of the jerks at the top, who pay themself millions of dollars a year for them to be like that. It couldn't be a matter of it being expesive. I have a relative over there that doesn't support the war either. He still hasn't had a good explanation as to why he's over there. C'mon Starbucks, it's the least you can do, give 'em a cup of joe. jesus christ.
Ya thats not cool at all on star bucks behalf. It's not there fault those kids are out there in iraq, if starbucks should not support anyone it should be bush. Star bucks booo them!
I Support my local "Little" neighborhood coffee shops, I too dislike Starbucks, their coffee is too strong and my stomach can't take it. On a similiar note, back in September I took my brother who is an active Marine to a White Sox game, he is a huge White Sox fan( I am a Cubs fan, which he gives me hell for everytime I see him). He got in for free, which I thought is a great way to honor our troops by giving them opportunities to watch baseball. But I was talking to a family friend the other day who works Sox and Cubs games as a vendor during the season and he told me that the White Sox and the Cardinals are the only teams that offer free tickets to our Active Military personnel for free. I thought this is crazy, I am actually thinking of writing the Tribune/Cubs and asking them why they would commit such a travesty towards our fighting men and women. It's ridiculous, I dont care about other teams but the Cubs are startin to piss me off.
i dont think that is true i read somewhere that it was made up by someone on the internet.
That looks fishy to me too. No way would a big company like starbucks take a stand as harsh as that.

Oh, and for the starbucks haters....caramel mocchiato (sp?) = some good as coffee.
Hmm. Giving the way these corporate knuckleheads have been acting lately, I wouldn't give it a second thought when I hear things like this. I certainly hope that this is made up. If not, then I'll have to patronize Caribou Coffee from now on.

Personally, I love Starbucks' vanilla latte with an extra Shot.
Coffee does not = Caramel Mocchiato, that is a Latte or something to that fact.

Their COFFEE sucks, their other drinks are pretty good tasting.....
Gloria Jeans Coffee is the shiz
Sanka anyone ?
Folgers for me!!!
The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup.....
H3LL YEAH!!! plus i can have as many cups as i want and only pay once!!
Fill it to the rim with Brim!
Heres a saying.. Coffee sucks.
