Well I met Mr. Tune and Tex.....where were the rest of you out there to introduce yourselfs to me. JWink \k

Anyway I was much happier Smile this time around and it was as I expected it to be.
Very busy and a long ass day. I still had issues with my buggy but I will get that worked out real soon.
This time there were some ppl who aknowleged me there and talked to me outside the two from above---dunno any names but just shot the breeze and a lot of BS'ing.
I sat behind SLIM for some who did not know where I was or what I looked like.

Things did go much smoother and I had no issues getting out there and getting some practice times in.
I still finished in the bottom pretty much all around but I am still getting my truggy the way I want it to feel and act when I drive.
I marshalled several times but in the end I couldn't do it anymore---knee was killing me something awful.
Gosh some of you guys are nuts out there---LOL

Got a chance to talk a bit more with Bernie---didn't have that last time---I can tell you this race day once again there were more pple than he expected there to be.

Anyway--A plug here----I think it was Mr Tune had a glow starter walk or was picked up by mistake at the end of the day--- so if any of you know where it is ---get with him on it please

Bottom line (a thumbs up animation here--would be nice to create one)
I looked around but I did not recognize anyone, only person I may have would be Chris. My legs are sore today from crouching down to turn trucks over Big Grin
Bio, you have a bandana on ?

I sat across from Slim 2nd seat away from the wall. Guy next to me was Hagasan (Joe Torres).
rich, he sat next to him. long blond hair...
Ahhh ok......

Your the guy that made the flat chassis for the T-maxx ? Is that right or am I confused here ?
I thought of putting "RCDad" on the lid of my tool box.
No That was Marke and I was the one who had the bandanna on.
I sat right behind Slim next to the wall there. Ususally I wear Bandanna's

RCDad----I have this in Mind also
Here is a signature for ya---Conjunction Junction what's your function---LOL
are we showing our age or what LOL
ok so im retarded...
Slim no awesome pics from yesterday?
not really... point and shoots SUCK indoors for any action shots.
Dam, I always looked for your shots after races....
Oh and I also plan on engraving my name on as much of my stuff as I can.
This is the 2nd one that I heard a glow starter vanished.

From the way some things were ---there was a lot of stuff just floating around out there---even my stuff got moved around a bit.

Pretty sad to say this happens---like not even being able to leave your front door unlocked any more these days.
This is why I also try my best to keep my stuff put away as much as possible.
I am sure it was unintentional.

Think of the amounts of money just sitting there, ie trucks radios, tool etc. So I highly doubt if someone intentionally took your ignitor. Since there is only a handful of ignitors out there, youwill usually have a bunch of the same kind at the track. It is very easily to pick up someone elses on accident and not realize it until later on.

Thinkof the stuff people leave l;ying in the pits when they are racing....

But yes it is good to mark your items always, I usually put a large name sticker on my ignitors, this way the sticker is easy to see and people will know not to accidently grab it.

I hope you get it back.
yea def not intentional... prolly close to $200,000 in toy cars with 100 entries.... def sickning the amount of money invested.
It is amazing the level of trust at these RC events. Literally, thousands of dollars is lying around and I've yet to hear of anything stolen.
I put a wrap of blue painters tape on my stuff..makes it easy to spot. I've seen guys use white or yellow electrical tape, too. Name stickers are best insurance if you have access to a label maker machine! At work we lay out all our tools and then mist them with blue and orange paint specks...makes them easy to find even if they end up in another gang box. They look crappy, but still work the same.
I suppose you could put locks on your toolbox but, god, that sure would look bad, locking your stuff up like you don't trust anyone.
It is a good idea to well mark your stuff. glow plug starter and temp guns. there is only a few different starter and temp guns and they all look the same. They get pick up by mistake. most all get return here when is found someone has two. I have myself pick up a temp gun after a race took it back to my pits only to fine my pit man had my temp gum. oooop....... well it look like mine. so please mark your stuff.
Sorry to hear about the missing glow ignitor. Like everyone said, it was probably picked up by mistake. One of the other guys here forgot a set of new tires, and they were turned in.

Bio, I'm the guy who sold Dan the Cen for his daughter, I forgot you were coming with him, or I would have said hello also.
Is that what a lot of people are using out on the track? It was pretty cold out there, I figured it may be difficult to get some of the nitros started.
Good to hear your 2nd experience there was a positive one! I'm not worried about my glow ignitor though. It was super old and didn't even lock onto the glow plug anymore.
I wonder if there is someplace online where you can get sweatshirts/t-shirts made with a graphic you send them. It would be cool to have Chitown R/C like where the pocket goes in the front.
There must be hundreds....I get mail from them all the time. Google "advertising specialties" and you will find one locally. I deal with one in St Louis for my corporate logowear.
Was fun last night but very long, hey Mr.tune remember when i said to you " Wouldnt it suck if we waited all this time to go race and would break at the start of the race" ? Well my glow plug took a dump in the start of the race. wheeeeeeeee!
What time did the MT Main finish?
