did anyone else mount thier transponder here? i had to be very careful with the dremel, but i gently shaved a little bit of the plastic away to make it just fit with some help then glued it also. It doesnt look like it but its in there pretty good i dont think its coming out unless i want it out, but ya never know. Smile
Ummm.... you may want to be careful with that. I can't tell from the angle too well but it looks like it could take a serious beating during racing. Since they are not supposed to be mounted by the reciever I will probably mount mine in the box where my reverse servo used to be.
well the bumper would have to get riped off first i know the angles arent that good but the only way anthing fro the track could touch it is if the bumper and body posts get ripped off. Smile
i would do something like that if i had a box to mount it to lol
Hmmmmm... I see what you mean. I dont know where else it would work...
lol trust me i was a searchin, i even thought about putting it ontop of my hitech servo lol
i have mine taped to the top of the steering servo with double sided servo tape and it works flawlessly. Doesnt take any abuse and its in a safe spot.
you can see in my pic its just on top of the servo. [Image: 1133491220_dsc02941.jpg]
i would be afraid of getting hacked in that spot and it just getting demolished. I would pick up one of those kyosho transponder mounts and find a place where u could mount it on the chassis to keep it protected

Joe did u get a chance to send that body Smile
ya i guess i will mount it some where safer, im sending it out this week, been pretty busy my inlaws are in from Bulgaria, plus i have an over emotional pregnant wife im caring for Smile but i will send it out this week mike, will take like two weeks to get there.
I have mine velcro'ed to the RX box on top of the plate you get when you do the FOC conversion. The opti-drive hole eliminator plug.
ewww dave take that nasty fail safe off your truck. I bet you will get better lap times without it lol.
why do you still have the opti drive sensor attached???
i took ryans advice, i dont have any boxes lol the shelf buy the plug on the transmition was another good spot but i wanted to keep it as low as possible.
I'm confused, how could my lap times be any slower?????
it jsut adds minute amounts of weight. Joeyrevo... looks much beter there.

And Dave?? Why is that optidrive sensor still on there??
FreeRideJunkie Wrote:why do you still have the opti drive sensor attached???

No FOC kit plug for the opening it leaves. Too lazy.
Just snip the wires then. Did you do the FOC??? Or did you just remove the reverse servo and optidrive?? The kit comes with the plug...
no FOC, just removed the opti module. Didn't want to snip the wires, just tucked them away for safekeeping.
You can take a scrap peice of Lexan and glue it to the underside of the RX lid too. I did that before the FOC conversion came out.
