Im still in need of a motor for my Savage.

Would like a .26 on up, whatcha got.

If I dont find one soon, Ill sell the truck as a roller, just make me some offers via PM
I have a Colari 30 I may let go of if the offer is right. Has 1/2 gal on it, head has a scratch (truck was flipped). Runs good. Got it in a trade for a radio. LMK.
$129.99 24/7 pro !!!!! Its only slightly smaller than a .26 and will run all day. easy to tune. Last for many gallons and is C H E A P!!!! somthing you cant say in this hobby!!!!!
Ive had three of them!!! Trust me they rock in a savage!!!! I finished 2nd this year racing one with the DD's!!!!!

GET one!!!!!
408 you getting rid of the savy? whats wrong with the force .28 in it?

btw the 247's are good motors!! i've been looking at one for my buggy!
It blew up the first time I really got a good ride on it. No biggy, not holding it against anyone. I think I just had it alittle to lean in the cold. Kept dying out cause it wasnt staying warn with snow hitting the head, so I tryed to get it alittle warmer by leaning it a 1/4-1/2 turn. First full hit of the throttle, boom!!! Thought it would be ok, still saw some smoke fromt he pipe, and I was running 20% Monster fuel, (16% oil)

Funny thing is, it never got hot enough that you couldtn touch the head with your bare hand and hold it there, even when it was running. Oh well..

So Im either getting a new motor for it or just get rid of it as a roller with tronics.
Running too cool does just as much damage (if not more) than running too lean. Do NOT lean out a motor to get the temps up in the winter. Pre-Head it with a temp gun or hair dryer, and wrap the cooling head with aluminum foil.
ya cold is prolly the worst for a motor, the sleeve is gonna contract faster than the piston so ur puting a ton of stress on the rod etc.
