yea.....lol
Finally made it out to the Holy land last night.... ABSOULUTLEY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

Great Job! Bern!!!!
Hey you guys, watch out. With the snow that fell tonight, on the way it was VERY slick, even with a 4wd expedition. We slammed on the brakes a few times just to stop for a stop sign... And on the way into the parking lot where you make a left, we turned the wheel left but the rest of the truck didn't follow and we smacked the curb good...Nothing broken thankfully...Just a warning.
word of advice is when its really slick out dont slam on the brakes. Just let off the gas and ease onto the brakes or if you have a stick downshift and slowly tap the brakes.
look at Mich. been driving for a year and hes a pro in the snow
and also when strating from a full start in slick condition when driving with a stick it might be better to start out in 2nd or 3rd gear instaed of first.
ohh how about dont drive and save a head ach..
yeah that would work Smile but they dont beleive in that in the army all the time lol
lol....

That is the best way to do it because there isn't much resistance to stall and there will be less torque. Nothing like needing to shift 2 or 3 times to get going in the snow when you start in first... :bustingup

isnt that what the traction control is on the newer cars?
Not on a manual... and I tate traction control personally. Anti locl brakes can really help if you are a panicky person or don't know your car... but I personally am not a fan. And there are a lot of times when traction control will actially make driving harder... like a lot of times in the snow...
why cant i start it in first? I can take anyone out in a race in the snow. I just gas it the same way i do when the roads are dry.
Lets get this back on topic!!!!!!!
Lmao... :o: Sorry. I messed up again. Didn't realize this was in the LH thread honestly... just clicked it because it was bold on my page. Sorry... Big Grin
ok ill get it back on track.....whos all going monday to the track?? and what time??
there is a thread in the meeting place section for peopl egoing to lh on Jan 2nd
you going G?
Nice pics Rob, having not been to the new track yet I had to keep reminding myself it's not the old track, for some reason it looked a lot similar.

I've got to look around for some directions...
RCDad, Easiest way for you, from Indiana, is take 80 West to 53 South. You will turn right. Take 53 to Laraway Rd., Turn Right. Follow Laraway Rd. to Patterson, turn Left. Take Patterson to Scweitzer Rd., turn right. continue down, till the end of the road. Leisure Hours will be on the Left side.

Also, When you are coming down 53, follow the signs for Challenge Park. The track is directly across the street from Challenge park.
Thanks, I'm planning on being there when the doors open at 8 am Sunday. That will be nice, I can spend a few hours there and be back about the time everyone is up and moving around.
