heres some pics of my not quite done revo Smile Its not as nice as some of the others ive seen in here but im still kinda new at this.
That's awesome.:headbang:
wow, nice and clean, nice!
nice truck man, looks sick!
thanks , been working on it off and on for a while still have a little bit to do.
nice... what fuel tank is that and what wing mount?? I am looking to do a wing but am not sure what hardware/modifications I would need to make...
its a mugen mx5 fuel tank and its a techno rc wing mount you can get them them here http://www.2coolrc.com they are made for the revo.
Ok thanks... it doesn't seem like it sits as high as a lot of the rest of the wings...??
no i dont think it does but it is higher than the engine and doesnt let the head get messed up and i thats the only reason i have one ohh and it looks cool Smile
I am curious how it is on the track. The roll hoop already protects the head but if the wing did I would take it off. I am just curious if for racing it has better balance with it lower and further back or higher and further foreward...
i'm not sure yet but when i start racing i will let you know Smile
Dan,

The wing will help protecting the engine and header. It is very common that you break the header without wing.

I have the Tekno wing mount in stock Big Grin
I know that it will but if you leave the stock roll hoop in place you can't hit the header. I dont have one scratch on mine yet and I only have the stock hoop. I want to know what wing mounting system works best for the track as I will be using it even more for performance than looks at this point...
i dont think the wing will help the performance at the track in that aspect.
It helps with balance, especially in the air from what I have heard. I was also told that it was well worth the extra weight... I may be mistaken but I will see when LH opens...
go with a wing, helps in many ways, I like how it conserves bodies (they last a whole season now) and how it acts as a wheelie bar
I haven't really noticed any performance increase with a wing on my revo, but what it lacks there it makes up in other places.

You'll never lose a rear body clip again, your bodies will last 5 times longer, you'll never see another scratch on the motor head ever again, etc.

It's worth it's weight in gold if you ask me.
Can I ditch the roll bar after I get the wing??

(and then time for a new body since I will now be racing more than bashing. Mike?? hehe
yes you can ditch the rollbar and slam that body down farther. SWEET
You can also shorten the rollbar. There are lines on it from the factory to assist in cutting it down. It's not much, but it is lower....the lines are on the bottom of the legs where they meet the chassis.
Cool... since I would be picking up weight with the wing I would probably ditch the roll hoop altogether and just save it incase I ever wanted to put it back on.
If you land on your lid alot like me, I'd keep the roll hoop lol.
LOL... If I am just running the 2.5 I will probably ditch it. If I get another motor that I really care about the head on (and I have found myself landing rubber side up a lot) then I will put the bar on but chopped down...
My F650 body lasted 3 or 4 tanks of bashing, no wing, it ripped in half.

thanks to a wing, I'm back to using my dodge ram body which I painted back in January.

Rob I gotta say I think that your supermaxx has the nicest wing mount out of almost every MT I have seen. Very clean...
