ORC, Czech, others who paint,
what is the best lexan liquid mask. I picked up some generic liquid mask and tried it and it is a pain to peel off, no matter how thick I apply it. It must not be for plastics.

So, what do the pros use? And where do you get it locally?

Thanks

Dave
i use the parma brand. do you let it dry over night before painting?
I did. It just was too brittle and tore easily. It was taking forever to uncover an area. I'll have to get Parma. Can you find it locally?
i know the hobby town in orland has it.
I use Hobbico master mask, that stuff works great. Just apply the use a knife to cut the design, mask windows or what ever.

That's funny, the text says 2oz. and the picture shows 3oz. I wonder what you get?

I have seen that brand but never tried it.
I've tried several and the best by far is Bob Divley liquid mask. Fast build up, easy to cut and peels off easily. You can pick it up locally at Al's Hobby Shop or even Hobbytown USA.
If you cant get the Parma stuff, get Bob Dively's, you can get each of them in 16 oz containers. Also the two brands smell and go on almost the exact same way.
getting it thick is the key with LMF, if its too thin you will have trouble peeling it up. I use about 4-5 light coats to build it up evenly
Thanks! With the complex designs you paint you certainly get good results with that product. I'll hunt it down and give it a try!
Last questions. About how much of a bottle do you use when you paint an average size body? And does it have decent shelf life once opened?
I have had a bottle of that stuf last me for months on end. Never could let it sit too long I usually go through it all first but I use it until I run out. The only thing that happen after a long time of sitting is u tend to get a little dry film on the bottom or sides so I have been rotating them every once in awhile to get that crap movin. I would say you could get about or above ten bodies done with a 16oz bottle not exactly sure but that would be my best guesstimate
Thanks again for the input. I appreciate it!
