Is this a good deal. 30 bucks for the RD Logics pipe?

not sure, but i think obsseive rc has one for sale
Well I don't have the money now. I have a few deals on different items that I told people that I can pay them after the new year.

If it is cheaper I will go with obsessiver/c.

Also forgot to ask. I am using the MIP side header with the os .18. Will the pipe be compatiable with it?
$30 for a pipe is cheap, but you pay for what you get. I hear a lot of mix feedbacks on RD Logics stuff.

yeah, and u need to be a memeber to see that link
Anyone that has had this pipe for the T-maxx can tell you from experience the headers commonly fail. I'm sure there may be a few select that have used this pipe without any problem.

Usually what happens is the cast aluminum header will crack on the pipe portion. Chassis flex, roll overs and bad wreck probably contribute to this failure. When this happens your day is done unless you have another header.

Very common problem with the RD Logics T-maxx pipes. I have never used this pipe but a guy racing with our club the Dirt Dawgs last season went through 3 of these headers at $30.00 each in 3 weeks.

For the stock TRX 2.5 go with the MIP combo or the MAX pipe that uses the stock header.

My $0.02
I won't be using the header that comes with the rd logics pipe/header. I have an os .18 cv-rx. I am running the MIP side header.
The RD logics pipe is a one-piece design (pipe and header held together by springs), so I am not sure if the MIP header will work. Also, there were 2 different RD pipes for the Max. One had a normal size header and a curved pipe (Which worked awesome in my old Max) and the one this guy is selling with the longer header designed to reach farther for a straight pipe. I'm not sure about how this one runs. I know different header size can affect the way an engine runs. I believe that the pipe obsessive has, is the curved pipe.
Thanks.

Can anyone verify if this pipe won't work with the MIP header?
Ok if your running the OS then I would recommend something like this.

The RD Logics pipe pictured in your first post will not fit your style header easily. Your header uses a coupler with cable ties and the one pictured on the UE site uses springs to hold the pipe to the header like “the newguy821” said in the previous post. I have seen guys coble the two different style together by using a standard coupler over the RD Logics pipe but I don't like that approch because there is not much for the cable tie to clamp down on.
Ok thanks and no thanks on that pipe.
This is a good choice for your engine.

Thanks
The AE pipe is better IMO than the traxxas blue pipe. I even went a step further and drilled out the stinger on my AE pipe I ran on my CVRX. My maxx ripped with that motor
I am still undecided on which pipe to buy. I am sure I will know by the time I have the money for it.
How about the Fantom Racing pipe? Click

Is it any good? I don't know why, but I like the way it looks, very mean.

Anybody have experiences with it?
