The other day i made some ski's out of scrap wood and plexi glass that was in my basement. I tried it out last night but the tires werent getting any grips so i tried making paddle tires out of some plastic i found. well here are are the pics of my car [img][/img]

and this is the last one of my fun in the snow it kinda died tho after going full speed into my barbeque :p:
Were you actually able to control it without much sliding?
Just make sure your motor is fully dry the next time you turn it on. It will be ok Smile.
ok ill let it dry for a little while, im more worried about the esc. i can actually control it. since my ski's are rigid they lean on their side when i turn so i can turn good. the wheels balloon so much that they dig through the snow and end up touching the ground so i guess thats why my car didnt work yesterday. o and a lot of snow ended up ontop of my ski's so i have to try and angle them upwards. its a lot of fun tho.
nice...looks great i might think about making some small ones for my mini-t if i get it fixed and in running condition....maybe i can try that tonight...we'll see.....
yeah motors are not big problem in the snow... its the ESC's you really have to worry about. I killed a cyclone ESC many years ago running my HPI EMT in the snow. Smoke started pouring out from under the body and the car took off on its own at full throttle! By the time I got to it the ESC was actually on fire and the body had started to melt. so be carefull with that ESC in the snow.
