:wavey: Hey guys, I am looking into buying a new camera for taking pics of my kids and my rc's, but would like an opinion on what some of you guys use. Some of your close ups are sweet and I would like to post some pics of my rc's, thanks
Slr's are good you want at least 5 mega pixles. Easy camrea to use is the kodak 5 mega pixle 10x zoom. It all really depends on how much you want to pay.
oh yeah, just a starter for around 250-300? But I heard the higher the pixels the better you quality, but I want computer compatible too.
Yes the higher the mega pixles the better quality your going to get. Here is the camrea i have, ive had it over a year already. Great camrea great price, its digital and it hooks up to your computer right through a usb port

i have a nikon coolpix 4600 i like it i paid 220 for it a few months ago now its 180 190 ish
Megapixles arnt everything, the pictures that I take with my grandparents 4mp kodak camera look like garbage compared to the pics I take with my fujifilm 3.2mp camera.
Ya, but it all depends the settings you put on the camera. You can asjust it for indoor lighting, florecent lighting, sun light etc... Also adjust ments for up close shots moving shots long range shots night shots. If you know how to use the camera with all the little gadgets you will be able to take some awesome shots.
I am a professional photographer and production artist. My recommendations for cameras are as follows for your budget in order form best to good:
Canon
Nikon
Fuji
Olympus
Canon makes fantastic cameras, my studio owns two EOS 1Ds MArk II's $15,000 USD with lenses. I own a Canon G5 for home and its a wonderful camera. Technique comes with practice, a natural photographic eye is something your born with. If we all had it I woundnt be able command the money I do for production. Taking the photo is only half the battle the other half is production.
Agree. After purchased a few digi cam in the last few years. Canon is the best in my book.

I have a Canon S2 IS now and still learning all the functions. Maybe 20D next?
Thanks for the input guys, after xmas I will jump on those sales, I will look for the cameras mentioned at work(wally world)to see if we carry any of the mentioned ones, thanks.
Will you take some pictures of me?
Once outdoor season rolls around, I will be getting my 20D. I cant wait !!!!!!
I have been saving for a long time for the 20D . My RC hobby keep on sucking the money out of the fund .. lloll
I hear that. I had almost all the money saved up for one, then "something" came out and there went my funds. LOL
LOL you guys are crazy
The 20D is a great semi-pro camera. We tested them along with Fujis SLR before we decided to go with the "Big Boy" EOS 1Ds. It actually was capable of doing everything we wanted, we shoot alot of 180º to 360º Panoramas, and it worked great for that. But in the end we wanted the full size 35mm CMOS sensor. The 20D is not a full size sensor so there is a lense conversion. What this means is there is a factor of, I believe, 1.6x attributed to any lense you use.
heres what i use. it's not the best but it works! :joy: :joy: :joy:
i dont know if this helps but my mom has a cannon power shot. its my mom's camera its really good for some1 like her because shes really bad with electronics, she finds them to complicated. and she can work this camera perfectly cause its really simple and takes good pictures
