Around the track a couple of times ? Or actually driven them for a couple of races ?
Shinner,

More tried and true advice says run what the fast locals run. They can assist with setups and parts in a pinch. There will undoubtedly be a bunch of Jammin's running eventually, but there's already a devoted group using LSP's. They know them and can offer experienced firsthand advice. The same is true for Revo. It comes down to the style of truck/truggy you want to race with, and your budget.

Hey Bruce, I guess you don't remember Chris (Shinner) from Leisure hours last year. He bought a stock revo, was consistantly in the top three spots in the A and then with new tires he spanked everyone. I was amazed at his driving.

I bet he could wheel a new, stock, LSP and not break anything all season, that's how flawless his driving was with his revo.

So....if you were to categorize any of the MT drivers here as "national level" it'd be him, not "us" or "you" IMO
Hey Tex, back off. It's Mich's job to pick fights with Bruce.
:wavey: LOL, I wasn't picking a fight.....

Agreed
Yes you were Confusedlap: Tex....
ok once again in the end it wont matter what truck you have but rather on your driving skills and how much you practice. Revo can and has won national events, lsp and crt are both more then capable of winning as long as the right driver is behind the controller. IMO I would read about what characteristics each truck has and get the one that you think will benefit you and just practice A TON once you get the truck. Do that with any of the trucks mentioned here and you will come out on top almost garunteed.
Hey mich i totally agree with what you said. It is about 98% driving skills, but that extra 2% being the truck could help out alot depending on what you get. Lsp/Revo/Jammin/Mayhem etc....

sweet revo, now you just gotta wait to till leisure opens like the rest of us.
Nice ride!!
Now i need to find a charger for the battery in the revo. oooo all the small nick nack things
if you dont mind spending a little bit of money the duratrax ice charger is sweet. If your more on a budget the pirahna charger is also good.
Im thinking the stock charger that came with the orignal revo. If ya know what i mean anyone have one for sale?
Bingo!! Thats what im talking about .99 cents

ud be better of shellin out the 60 bucks for a piranha charger it will charge ur batteries quicker and better than one of those wall chargers
I hear ya, but i still have to get a radio and some servos. When i raced at leisure the traxxas charger did me well. Trying to save some money where i can.
