Now its and airplane engine, so not applicable to us yet. But it has a brain, and I found it interesting after the discussion we had about cooling heads and head temps. I got to thinking about other ways to find the true heat of the combustion chamber, one Idea I had was a built in head sensor butted up against the sleeve. Now low and behold OS beats me to it. Which is why the are the engine manufacturers and I am not(but at least I got the right idea). Check it out its pretty cool. Maybe they'll make something for us terra firma guys. Oh its also got EFI. It's also retailing at $1200.00 USD.
That OS has been out for a while Smile Definatly top of the line though. It was a top seller for a while on Tower hobbies, guess lots of plane people dont think twice about droppin that kind of $$$ on an engine.

A new engine with a twist that we could use would be the new wasp engines...

That thing is practically a minibike engine at 23cc and 3.5 hp, but at $1200 is worth 3 or 4 pocket bikes!

But your right about planes being a money hole. Not for the weak hearted. Someday I'll post my video of grown men crying after they augered in a $20,000 RC jet. It's funny! There just aren't enough RC plane bashers!!!!
if your talking about that huge jet that crashed (the one that looked scale in flight) it was $100,000, even mentioned it on the site.

I've never seen that os with EFI that's wicked
ha if it was cheaper someone would be wuick to trying to mod it to fit a truck but at a pretty penny (or 120,000 pennies to be exact) i dont think its gonna happen.
I was more interested in the Temp sensor mounted in the side of the crankcase that reads the temp off of the sleeve. But the EFI is very cool with the crank RPM sensor mounted in the back plate. Someone needs to figure out how to mod a truck engine for that.
