someone on the BYT forum said they are probably going to come out saturday.
why don't you tell them about this forum? more the merrier here Smile
I don't plan on waterproofing my truck at all this winter.

If it is dry Saturday I will be there. If it is really cold or raining/snowing, I won't be there.

so far, the weather forecast is in your favor.
Sweet.
i have no clue how i'm gonna make it there at noon but i will def be there!!!! no waterproof no npthing see you there!!!
I've never waterproofed any of my RC and I have completely submerged my t-maxx before. It was funny, all you could see was the antenna tube sticking out of the water
So what exactly happens to a nitro engine when it sucks in water? Is it repairable or does it just kill it?
well it doesnt really mean anything if you take the whole thing apart and clean every pin and ball. Makes sure to use tons of oil as well when reasembling. If you just leave it how it is say goodbye.
yep, nothing happens to it, I actually just poured the water out of it and ran a couple tanks of gas right away, it ran normal. I had to squeeze all the water out of the air filter also...hehe
FreeRideJunkie Wrote:Your joking right?? I can drive around in a cricle for a good 45 seconds and just wait for him to blow another diff

I ran a tank in my backyard to make sure everything was great, not even going that fast, and my rear diff start crunching, and my front has been jacked up. typical.

I'll be lucky to get a tank in tomorrow.
your diff situation sucks man. Sad to say it's one thing after another with that truck.

Auctually, its been pretty consistant.

Diffs, Diff Bearing, Diffs, Diffs.

:blah:
Well the revo will be running so you'd better keep it together.

Who all will be there?? I will be there at about noon... maybe a tad earlier if you want since the rain is supposed to be late, if at all.

I'm not going to make any guarentees. either my center rear slider shaft will twist all the way, or my diffs will shread completly, either way, im only getting a tank in.. if that.

FreeRideJunkie Wrote:Who all will be there??
you, squirrel, UE-Maxx, tex mentioned stopping by? 3 people from BYT, and myself. I am probably forgetting a person or 2.
woooooohooooooooo... I get to bash with a hung over squirrel!!
I just checked out my truck, the antenna tube was laying on the spur gear, hopefully that was making the grinding noise... but I doubt it.
maybe and hopefully. I would like to see that thing run for a while. Why do you keep blowing through them??
FreeRideJunkie Wrote:Why do you keep blowing through them??

im not sure. Obsessive runs a .23 on his maxx with stock diffs, I run a .18 and I keep killing them, even when properly shimmed. The spyder gears are cast, so thats the main reason for them being so weak, even with an aluminum diff case and cup.

I'm going to upgrade to UE/OFNA 8 spyder diffs as soon as I find someone selling a set used.

ViLL on the UE board had a set for $70, or $110 with an extra 8 spyder diff, and 6 spyder diff. I offered to buy just the 2 8 spyder diffs, but someone offered to buy all 4, and he went with that.
damn that sucks. Well anyway... hopefully it doesn't get crunchy untill after a bunch of bashing tomorrow.

Right now I have the LT rockers on... should I switch back to the short travel in the morning???
Rob, after sunk in all the money for the stock diff, you should have save up and go UE. just my 2cents Big Grin

Hope you guys have fun tomorrow! By the way, can someone give me the direction to the BMX track at Elgin? I would like to check it out.

switch them at the jumps if you find necessary?

buy good or buy twice. I had to learn the hard way for once.
So damn true man! We all learned it the hard way didn't we?
