I dont know the panthers can move the ball. Even if the defense holds them... The bears sputtering at best offense is gonna have to contribute more than they have been if the bears are to make it six in a row..

Carolina 27
Bears 13
I guess all that trash talk the panthers where saying kinda bit them in the rear. I mean Delhome was sacked 8 times, and only towards the end did Steve Smith started making plays. It is a shame that Mushin Mohammed drop those few passes in the first and second quarters, the score would been a lot lopsided, and Orton looked decent again. Well now we can focus on the bucs, and they are pretty good so another good test for the Bears, plus it is on the road. can't wait till sunday.
So our Bears are on a 7 game winning streak, and we play GreenBay next week. Even though the Pack are not playing well lately the Bears need to play them as if the Pack was 8-3 too.
The bears are looking good. I hope it extends to 8 next week...
Is this the year?
I am trying to be positive... but I don't think so. As much as I would love the bears to win in the same year as the white sox... I think their offense still needs to mature. I think that if they can keep the defense intact that within 2 years I think they have a very good chance. If it happens this year it is going to be about 80% defense... we shall see...
Well, the ravens a few years back had a crappy offense too. Their defense got them to, and won them the superbowl. The bears have a shot IMO. They held teams who average 30 points a game (carolina and tampa bay) to just 13 combined!

Go Bears. Green Bay is going down!
Its been 20 years, the Bears are due. Smile
I'm thinkin a 20 year rematch, Bears Vs. Patriots to end the dynasty. Pats will win the AFC east. Once in the playoffs the PAts might come together, some injuries may be back for playoff contention. The Bears however have all the pieces in place defensively to be contenders, we will win this division. But offensively we need to make connections downfield. Blown routes we saw yesterday vs TB are not gonna get us far. Against high power offenses we cant expect this defense to run the gamut and hold teams to low points if we cant provide an offensive cushion to the D to play tough midfield and turn it on if we get pushed back into the redzone.
Something is in the chicago air!
Well I don't think we will see the Pats in the SuperBowl this year, they have lost their team chemistry, In the AFC it is going to come down to the Colts or the Broncos. And the NFC is really hard to gauge, I mean the a couple stand outs, I honestly think it will come down to the Bears and Seahawks in the NFC. And if the Bears want to have a chance against Seattle they need to work on learning how to score points. I mean the defense only keep it close, it it up to the ofense to score the points. I mean we got to do better than 3 and punt, 3 and punt. I mean who the heck runs on 3rd and 10?
I see a Colts Vs. Bengals shootout for The AFC Championship. And for the NFC, I believe The Seattle Seahawks remaining schedule is the easiest from the top contenders, with the Colts on Christmas Eve as the toughest opponent from here on out. Opposite the Seawawks for the NFC Championship, will be the the beloved...

... Monsters Of The Midway!!
Ok I'm bringing this thread back up to top. It is time to talk a little football. After watching Sunday nights game against Atlanta, I am getting really excited about the Bears actual chances this year. I mean they why the defense handled Vick and the Falcons running game was incredible. Then in when Grossman came in the 3rd quarter and it was like he was never injured. The Bear now are very dangerous, they have the number defense in and finally an offense. I see playoffs in the future, and maybe more, I'm not saying Super Bowl just yet (don't want to jinx it), but if the White Sox can do it, so can the Bears, I mean it has been 20 years since SuperBowl 20,(I was 8) and I remember that game 46-10 over the Patriots and the Fridge scored a touchdown. So GO BEARS!
I love the bears, BUT unforunatley to me it seems that they have beat premoddona good teams .... What i mean is Carolina,Tampa (my favs) and atlanta are all good teams that are struggling. One week they look strong the next they come out and get waxed. I mean look at tampa, they got beat by San fran... Sure all tams have bad days but when you lose to a a team that is weak on both sides of the ball that speaks volumes about your team.

IF the Bears would have beat The Steelers i would have the orange and blue flag flyin but once the bears went up against an AFC powerhouse they got a thumpin.

Im tryin to be a wet blanket , i just dont think they have proved themselves yet. I think lettin rex play could be the differnce maker in this team. He spreads the defense because he , unlike his rookie counter part can complete a pass for more than 4 yards.

Go BEARS !!! I want you to prove me wrong for doutbing you!!!! ( GO TAMPA BAY TOOOO!!!)
Bears beat GB on Xmas day and the Div is ours. Right now as long as the Giants dont improve their record over ours, we will will get the second seed in the conference and get the bye and homefield, which would be huge for us. So it goes like this is the playoffs started now:
1. seattle (1st round Bye, homefield)
2. Bears (1st round Bye, homefield)
3. Giants
4. Carolina
5. TB (wild)
6 Washington(wild)
-1st Round-
Redskins Vs.Giants- I'll say Giants over Redskins
TB Vs Carolina- I'll Say Carolina over TB (sorry rocco)
-2nd Round-
Carolina at Seahawks- Seahawks Win
Giants at Bears- If we contain Tiki, pressure the hell outta eli we should be good. Bears win.
Conference Championship
Bears at Seahawks
I guess thats why that play the games! LOL!!! I think your predictions look pretty good! Even The TB one. My boys just arent playin well. But they have a rookie qb right now too so there kinda in the bears boat..... Sorta
the bears look pretty good this year, the most important part is a stout defence, and they got that, a god defence can carry you through the playoffs even if your offence is sputtering, im a steelers fan and they have never had an explosive offense but they usually have a strong D so it helps them to win games.
#1 defense and #28 offense doesn't add up to a long playoff run, especially if you run into the #2 defense.....hmmm, oh well, next year. I hope I'm eating these words in Feb!!!
Ah, but Grossman is back. That was the spark this offense needed. I mean Rex nows how to pass the ball and to that advantage of all the opportunties the opposing defense offers. I mean they will not finish #1 in offense not by a long shot, but they actually are an offensive threat now, if Muhammed can remember how catch the football.
I heard that a while ago thats funny as hell though
