I just pulled the pull starter off my sirio .18 and noticed that there was a lot of fuel on the pull starter as well as the backplate. Is this normal? Do I have a leak? If so, how can I fix it?
Ya know I have the same problem on my pullstart. I thought it might be from the exhaust. But now I wonder if the pullstarter isnt sealed up properly.
yeah it normal for a LITTLE fuel to make it's way into the pullstart
You got "gas on your shaft" eh? Hope you don't smoke in bed! :flamer: :bustingup

I knew that was coming :bustingup It was that or "leaky shaft" for a title :bustingup
on all pull start assemblys there is a bushing in the backplate that the shaft rides on. after a while it just wears and gets looser and starts letting more fuel seep out.
Thanks
make sure your back is sealed up well.if not use some RTV
