Any opinons on the Hot Bodies Lightning 2 RR?
buggy? I would pass.... That is an un-experienced answer though

If your going to throw down $400 (?) then why not buy a good used buggy? Not saying the HB buggy isn't good(like I said I don't have an drivetime with one). I don't see any at the tracks which means it's not as good of a racer as some of the proven bugs

I can't agree with that one. It seems like a lot of buggy guys buy whatever buggy that won the last big race. They seem think that they will win the next one with it. But it doesn't happen. I think most of the better buggies are about the same and guys need to learn how to tune the buggy they've already got. Then keep it on its wheels and moving forward.

problem is the HB buggy is not "one of the good buggies"

Buying a HB lightning to race would be the equivelent of buying a t-maxx to race. You tell me what you agree with Bruce.
Tex, I don't race buggies but I do watch what's going on with them because I'm looking to get one. I see a lot of C-main racers with the best buggies and motors that are on the market. I bet any of the pros could take a Lightning 2RR and beat most of the local A-Main guys. It's the driving, it's all about the driving. Too many guys are too wild out there and getting tangled up all of the time.
From what i hear the RR2 is basicaly a copy of a K3... So i guess there not bad... There just not very popular in the midwest
I was reading big squid RC's review of this buggy and it sounds fantastic, they said they tried to break this thing and it was durable as hell.
thats not just that buggy, thats all buggies for the most part.
My next project, I may have to go out to the local bashing spot with the wife and we'll run both buggies..

I may, I always like to have a spare.
I ordered one of them and waiting for it, hope it's worth it!!!!!!!!!!!
