Looks good.
nice and clean looking
looking good!
Nice job.
sd16, thanks for linking that in there. I STILL don't understand the way to do that.

We have 2 more shells to paint for this little bugger (Stormer Hobbies has 'em for $2 each if you need 'em!) so we're gonna keep getting fancier as we go. It's tough working fine curves with tape inside a shell this small.

You can't go wrong with orange and blue in Chicago, Illinois! Go Bears, Go ILLINI!

We ran this dude outside yesterday and found it's slow. Indoors it's ok, but we're gonna need a motor for it. Who's upgraded their 18T or Mini with the next step motor upgrade? We're not gonna dump real money on anything fancy, we just want it to go faster than to kids running after it. Then better batt's for more run time than AA's.

So far it's a fun little truck. Ball bearings from eBay are on the way and shopping for oil shocks.
If you use liqiud mask you're not limited to any radius the tape will make. Just a steady hand, light pressure and a sharp x-acto blade.

Yep, we will be using that next try. Our next design is too tough to tape.
If I were you, and didnt want to get a mamba, Id get a 6cell pack first, it doubles the stock motor speed IMO
I hooked up the 6C you included. It does perk it up. I'm thinking a stronger motor will let me gear it a little taller, as well.
Ya a better motor will help, but I have only used stock, and a mamba 6800, pretty much like putting a .30 in a jato.
LOL
I see your point, but I don't need an 18th that does 55mph. I just want 20ish and good jump out of the turns.
Body looks good!!!! Clean looking.
I have a totally stock rc18t. Its plenty fast. Its fun!
Doesn't the RC18t run a 380 size motor stock?

The body was an easy spray can three color deal. I like it way better than the stock Losi scheme that came with it. I should post a picture of the stock shell in the garbage because that's where it is right now!

What the heck:

lol
I think its a "super" 280 according to AE
actually now the 18T has the 370 in it with 14T pinion. (just received one a few days ago)
I bough mine used with some kind of Orion motor in it. It will do 20mph. I let my son use it so I jacked it up with bigger tires, stiffer springs, with the Losi oil shocks. Now it will go well in the lawn.
Stormer hobbies has bodies for the mini-t at $2/each? I'll have to get my wife a couple.

When you hit their site also look for the Aluminum Sale "box". Tons of Dynamite brand parts really cheap. I added f/r arms, hubs, steering blocks, for almost nothing compared to some other RC upgrades.

But the $2 bodies (limit 5) is a steal. You can go back to letting the kids paint 'em at that price. What's there to lose?!!

Getting your wife a new body.....there's a joke in there but I'm not going near it.
LOL, only thing is there is a $10 limit, I was just going to buy a couple.
