I'm ordering more bearings to make additional Ghetto Quickturns for my Revo. Does anyone else want one? I'll order more bearings if anyone else wants one.
How much are those bearings?
$6 plus shipping
Cool. Order me up one. I'll give the quickturn mod a try Smile.

What else would I need? I'm assuming a spare driveshaft?
I'm interested but can you use them with an extended chassis? I'm definitely planning on getting one of those (Ext, chas)
Yeah, the ones I make will work with the ext. chassis. I'll get 2 bearings for each of you. It's good to have a spare cuz OWBs all go out sooner or later. It's a good thing I had a spare in Dallas cuz I needed it.

I'm going to be making up an extended one for myself also. I've got a Vantage Extended CF chassis coming soon.
How did you get an ext. CF chassis from Vantage?
Thanks Bruce!
Obsessive, I'll be one of the very first, if not the first, to have the Vantage CF extended chassis because of my friendship with Bruce at http://www.rushrc.com who is the largest seller of Vantage stuff.

Also, I drove their chassis in the US Monster Truck Nationals and wore their hat for the photos. I also ran a TNT Modded TZ http://www.tntmods.com and am sponsored by them now also.

Vantage is still having minor issues with the finish on the chassis', it's not shiny enough, but they are basically ready for distribution.

No problem Gabe, the bearings will be here by Weds. Do you want me to make you up an extended Ghetto Quickturn? John? I'll do the first one for you guys and then give you the second bearing to make your own. Ok?
Congrats on the sponsorship.
sounds awesome Bruce, Thanks!
Wow! very cool. Good luck with that.
sponsored!!!!?!? Thats awesome Bruce !! Congrats!!!! What do they cover?
WTH is a Ghetto Quickturn?
Rocco, I get a free vantage CF extended Revo chassis and I get my motor mods at %50 plus extras t-shirts and stickers/banners etc.

A ghetto quickturn is a homemade Quickturn just like the RD Racing Products unit that costs $80. But mine costs $13 and 20 mins. work.

"ghetto"?

Wondering if Traxxas likes that nomenclature?

Satoch, are you taking orders? Or if it's easy to build, do you want to share your design? And if you don't like it, does the mod easily revert back to stock?
Dave, yeah it's very easy to revert back to stock if you don't like the quickturn.

It does take a little getting used to so give it a little time. Once you do I'm confident that you'll like it and start getting better lap times also.

It's very easy to build, I will probably just take step by step pix as I'm doing it and then post it as a "how to" article.
Bruce, How many of these do you have? I want to get one at the Berwyn Bash, if you have any left.

Also, are you going to put up a "How to"?
I'll have some more bearings left at the Bash. I can just show you how to make it then. It's super easy and Gabe or John Dimo could show you also.
I'll keep an eye out for that. Add that to the Winter To Do list along with.............

So they both are running them as well?
I gave then the bearings on Sunday. Yes, they're going to be running them.

Also, my CNCd Carbon Fiber Trinity Spyder(170ml)/MBX5(125ml) dual tank and battery kit will be available through http://www.rushrc.com in the next month.
bruce, besides the bearing what else do u need? i think i have a owb from my 1/8 buggy. will this work? any help would be much appreciated. thanks
You need the female part of the front drive shaft, a driveshaft yoke with a stub axle attached cut off at the beginning of the threads.

Carefully scuff up the outside of the 6mm x 10mm x 12mm OWB and put a bit out JB Weld on the outside. Be careful not to get any inside the bearing while pressing it into the female part of the front shaft that has been cut down to the length of the bearing (If running an ext. chassis leave it full length).
