I might be heading out there with jack and bryan this wednesday. Anyone gonna be there?
I'll try to get there....................what time?
530pm-1030pm is open practice. Nitro and electric. It's a very high traction clay/dirt track, get the right tire ready. Bow Ties hook up awesome there although it seems the clay likes to stick to them (and all tires). You may just want to clean your tires every couple tanks, they have a big sink. I run the SportTraxx tires and those hook up pretty well. I will see if I cn make it out there for a couple hours, probly not though. Since I'm leaving Thur-Sun I'm sure my wife will have a fit about me going.
ill try to make it out there if my conversion kit comes in, suspost to be in to day(tuesday) or tomarow, and if i make a bank run to get some money, to get the stuff.
I think will be out there around 8:30ish. Were coming from the oakbrook area, so we will most likely wait until rush hour dies does a little before we hit I-55 and head down there.
I will have to get there sooner than 8:30 due to I work 1st and 3rd shift so I need some sleep. I may just fight the traffic or find some alternate routes to get there and get a couple hours of running in. I sure hope my new pipe comes in today or tomorrow to do some testing and tuning to see what it unleashes or maybe hinders.
I'll have to get the new 40's bowties nice and dirty too. Big Grin
I have a new body that I am getting ready to paint so I may run my old stock body or my latest cage, not sure which.
what pipe are you getting?
Jammin JP-2.
Cool nice
well im out, just called the hobby store and my stuff wont be in until thursday....
I'm out also. I'm not even going to ask the wifey
well no pipe today, but I will try to make it if I do not break at lunch time. A guy at work saw a guy driving a nitro truck at lunch yesterday by my work and I am going to see if I can find him today and maybe get some good runnin here before I go tonight. I did a lot of changing in my truck and I have yet to run it.
boyz, this thing is rippin today. can't wait to hit the track.
Good to hear. What did you change on it?
check out the new topic
anyone go last night? I was there from 6-8:30. Just long enough to almost run out of fuel, kill and recharge my hump pack, destroy my stock body, dent my header and above all else find out how much I really suck at driving yet. Practice, practice, practice........the truck ran great, tons of power and speed, although I will change my gearing to the stock 20/72 due to the short track length. It was quite busy last night, around 8-10 guys when I left. The place has ventilation but there was just too much nitro in the air for it too really be safe I think. The track has incredible bite on it, I had to change my bowties out for the stock cut tires I had with me and that improved the handling better, just like tex said the clay tends to clog up the tires and it sure did. It is too long of a drive to go there by myself so I will wait until I know a bunch of us are going to make it worth while. If any of you were there I did not recognize anyone but I do hope to meet up together and hit it again.
Mr. Associated, Tune, BigDangerous, and I showed up around 8:30-8:45, must have just missed you. My tmaxx ran great except I had just installed one of those cvec rear exhausts, man that thing sucks ass. Everytime I pulled a wheelie the pipe would fall off. Other than that I had a great time there.

Oh yeah, it was pretty rancid in there, they should install a couple more vent fans.
The track is sweet, although that venilation stinks.Overall I still like it alot. I would never switch out Bowties for stock maxx tires. I would think that would take traction away? I don't own Bowties but They look like they hook up good almost anywhere.
The bowties hook like crazy over there! Almost too much. I agree, the ventilation stinks over there. When you leave the place you're almost high.

Overall though, that track is real nice. High bite, I nice back stretch to build some speed, and it's flat when it's supposed to be.
thats why they put garage doors in there to help vent the air and get the bob cat in but i guess they forgot they had them. If they opened one door and used the vents full blast it would be much more better in there. And did anyone notice that once it gets full of nitro in there the cars start to run like crap untill fresh air starts to return. These engines cant run on nitro air lol altho some of us could
I switched from bowties to stock cut tires to lose a little traction, the BT's just hooked too much if thats possible. I could not slide when I wanted to and taking corners was more work than with the stockers. The bt's also packed a bit with the clay and turned the outside front tire into a slick almost so I switched. They had one door opened up about a foot and a half but it was not enough to keep it fresh in there, I still feel it in my lungs from staying for only a couple hours. Very nice setup though and I will go back, but after I know a lot of us are going to be there.
Well I would have ran Jacks HPI MT but after changing some parts out the night before and starting it at the track all ready to go.......I see that the clutch bell is'nt moving because of the lack of a clutch Rolleyes .
I did manage to flip over many cars that flipped over or bashed into the wall. I've decided not to go to another off road track until I get my MGT.
