Try Your Luck. RAFFLE #2 CANCELLED, SEE new stickied raffle)
#26

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was thinking of this raffle, a complete setup.

Kit (top brand 1/8 buggy or truggy)
Radio (M11, 3PK, Z-1, React)
Motor (something good like a V-Spec)
Pipe (jp1, 2, 3)
Servos (Futaba 9350's, Titanium Hitecs, etc..)
starter box (Everyone loves the mugen box)

All that adds up to about $1500-1600....
So sell 100 raffle tickets at $20 a pop, you make $2000

Maybe post on the IL section of the grid forum about the raffle this way it stays local yet the 100 numbers fill up faster.

Just something I've been thinking about. How cool would it be to win a complete setup for $20?

Its going to take some time selling 100 tickets at $20.00

Just a thought....I think if we added all the dudes from the grid the 100 tickets would sell within a weeks time maybe.

Also... it would be cool to throw in a clutch, reciver pack, etc to make it a complete RTR package if there is a good amount of $$$ left over to build the package. If not it isn't a big deal because winning something worth that much you can justify putting a little $$$ into it afterwards.

Here's what I posted on the grid for you non-gridders...

would anyone here be interested in getting in on a local (IL) raffle for
a complete RC package?

Kit (top brand/model 1/8 buggy or truggy)
Radio (M11, 3PK, Z-1, React)
Motor (something good like a V-Spec)
Pipe (jp1, 2, 3)
Servos (Futaba 9350's, Titanium Hitecs, etc..)
starter box (Everyone loves the mugen box)

the details are getting worked out for the exact model numbers of
everything and the raffle #'s will be $20 each.

There will be 100 numbers sold (00-99). After the last number is sold
the date will be picked (to pick a winner) using the Illinois evening
pick 3 lotto numbers and the last two numbers win. So if the pick three
is 437 then 37 wins.

I am just seeing if there will be people interested in something like
this. It would be preffered that someone in the IL area particupated so
they could pick up their prize after they won.

The details on the this raffle can be found on ChitownRC.com in the
off-topic forum. Currently this raffle hasn't started because we need to
judge interest first. There is another raffle going on right now, you
may want to check out.

If you want to particupate in something like this and possible win a
full setup for $20....SAY I Smile

How do you figure?? I didn't know that the kit comes with the clutch and filter. It was just a comment. If me giving my opinion makes me a greedy MFer in your eyes then there is nothing I can do about that. I clearly said that there is no reason to not have to buy some more stuff ourself. I was also one of the first to say that slow should be making something off of this...... Other than that myp post was almost identical to yours. Please feel free to enlighten me via PM.
