My buddy got me in by giving me a great deal on the savage. I always thought they were too much money. A few thousand dollars later....

Crawling looks cool, but it also looks VERY expensive to set up a good crawler....

I'm trying to get one of my coworkers into nitro. He and I paintballed back in the day and he now has no one close by that balls so he may sell off his Armotech and get a MT. He knows how short my attention span is and wants to wait and see if I am still doing this next year, of course I told him I still would be.

I used to have a Tippman A-5 with response trigger but the hobby got real expensive real fast. Everytime I wanted to go out and play, it cost me around $50-100 at least and thats everytime. Balls cost an arm and a leg and they just go too fast so I sold everything on ebay. I will pick it up again in the future cause its just a blast to play, but after my wife is working full time again, as for now I can just afford my SM and thats just barely.
It is fun though.

as long as your on the subject of getting the bug...

I cought it about 4 months ago. I was at my brother in-laws house and he showed me his new toy. He had bought a traxxas few months earlier. I slammed his truck around for a good 2 hours before I left his house. The next day I started to do my research on nitro trucks and concluded that the Savage was the best bang for the buck. I started looking at online hobby shops and at my LHS, but was kind of taken back by the near $400.00 price tag. So I started searching on eBay and found a guy that had one new in box listed. I just so happen to have an older laptop laying around so I made the guy an offer, laptop for Savage. Low and behold a few days later the guy responded with a yes.

Needless to say I have been bashing and replacing parts ever since, lol.

I'll post a pic of my truck when I get a chance.

the guy at work is really getting serious about getting a truck. Only problem is that he see's mine and wants to go SM before he even gets seriously driving it. I told him to slow down and see what happens after he gets a truck and to get one that can be fixed easily with stock parts until he learns how to drive, but I am not sure he's gonna listen.
