I agree with the point that a TRUE fan will go to the games to support their team, win OR lose. But in the same sense, I see the point that Traxxas Junkee was making. Why would the Cubs owners dish out more money for better coaching, or players, when the fans are ok with having a team that can't hold it together all season?
But answer this question.... Just because I don't (can't) go to a Sox game, does that make me any less of a "True Fan" than someone who does go to the games? Just because I don't have the extra $50+ (Ticket price, parking, a couple beers, etc.) to go to a game doesn't mean I don't support them.
Being a TRUE fan means you are a fan of that team, win or lose, which I have always been a Sox fan.
