Well alot depends on the motor, the car, and your driving style. Most MFG dont leave much room for adjustment with the clutches which is why i run the M2C racing setup. Generally the stiffer the spring the later the engagement which will give you more snap on the bottom end. A heavier shoe will engage sooner giving you softer bottom end. And material wise a hard shoe will generally slip a bit before it fully grabs which will give you a later but usually smoother engagement. Thats just the tip of the ice berg really. With the M2C stuff you can chose b/w springs from like .9 - 1.1 in increments of .05. Shoes come in 3 different materials and 3 different weights as well

thanks mike, what kind of setup are you running in you RC8 that is what I'm running now and just looking for springs and shoes for it right now. I was looking into the M2C stuff but they have so much I kind of get confused of what it is that I'm really looking for. If you could point me in the right direction for there stuff for like 3 different sets of shoes that I should have on hand from high bite to some fluf that would be awsome man.

Well I usually dont run anything but the hard shoes; they last forever and u can tune the rest by weight and springs. I usually run hard lites with .95's. I would keep a set of hard lites and ultra lites along with springs from .9-1.1 The softer shoes i never really liked much they engage real early but seem to wear too fast. I run the 4 shoe but the 3 is just as good. High bite i would run like the ultra lights with 1.0's or 1.05's MAYBE 1.1's if u need more snap loamy id go with 2 .9's with a .95 with the light shoes or even the reg weight but i usually dont run them. I pretty much ran the light hards with 2 .9's and 2 .95's outdoor every where last year outdoor and it was great

ya its a different flywheel, there own. You really get alot more snap out of it so with the way the RC8 accelerates i dunno how well it would do outdoor, im gonna run it might have to gear up the CB
