lol im sure ill get flamed, but i'd much rather own a mugen, kyosho, TTR over a losi. There are too many random failures on those cars, hell look at what jimbo alone goes through. Not that it breaks easy, dont see many broken arms after crashes and stuff but jesus u can always tell if there is a losi truggy in a main because you can hear the diffs making that loud ass CRACK noise whenever the guy gets on the gas. Sorry but quality isn't there in the drive train at all

These threads are all pissing matches...-sigh-
Something on every vehicles blows ass. It's called a problem area. When you put it on the drawing board, its all assumed that it will work well when its a prototype it works well. Mass Produce it, a little later you're going to start seeing your problem areas, what wears out, what breaks. Where are the pieces breaking. THEN. Manufactureres GENERALLY start working on revisions. I think its only a matter of time before bugs like that are worked out. SO, Garbage from the start, Garbage always? I think not. Mugen has been using the buggy Chassis for a long time, so has Kyosho, so has TTR. So generally speaking the Losi 8B is a pretty new Chassis, and so is the 8T. All im saying is theres time for improvement. If they just lef tit that way and did nothing f*ck them but they probably will fix it. So I think we should give losi a little bit of credit, for not having an 8th scale anything really and now having designed a buggy from the ground up, its doing pretty well, minus a few bugs. that's just my 1.50 for this thread. Cause its always this vs this. etc. For the record this is not a flame meant at anyone I think I may just be trying to be logical. Cause it does make sense. Apple fixed the first gen crappy Ipods so I think this would be kind of the same thing. Revo 2.5, TRX 3.3 Engine, Center Diff. Fast and Turns on a dime. |

I had the losi and it was kind of hard to drive for me at least, mostly because it was my first buggy and ive never raced before. The only problems i had was stripping those little steering servo plastic inserts but theyre cheap and I got the stronger ones that losi made and it worked fine. I didint notice any wearing on the diffs or cvd's but then again I only had it for about 3 gallons.

Mike- im not sure what you mean about the diffs, never had a problem with the actual gears in and around the diffs. the only problem i had with the diffs was the outdrive cup which went out after 10 gallons. the front/center driveshaft wears fast because of the ane its at. the losi 8iht really is a good buggy, but does have a few minor issues at least to me. Pmhours, if your gonig tobash and race i would get the 8ight or wait until the rc8 changes over to the TTR plastics, becasue right now theyre brittle. Losi 8ight with v-spec

AE already has gone back to the TTR plastic www.czech-it-out-graphics.com 1/29/07 never forget....TTT ![]() Bringing old know-it-all blow hards back to reallity at a forum near you "Always Imitated, Never Duplicated" |

I have never had any issues with digg. gears-ring-pinion, I just went through my buggy last weekend replaced what was worn out etc etc etc and that was all the bearings (has been about 3 mths since I did bearings
) and 2 front tie rod end had some slop in them. also replaced one of the center shafts-been a yr and just now needing to replace one?! I race every weekend and even run practice once a week here and their have over 12-13 gallons on my buggy so far now. |
