J-Dub....Have you seen (in person) the lane size at LHR's onroad? When bernie was running his IGT there was room for at least another 3-4 on each side of him. (Not flaming...j/c)

I havnt been there since they painted it, but the pics probably make it look smaller than it actually is.

ThirdGen, I see that they are basically just longer, and have a significantly larger wheel base.. I would have just assumed they were just bigger overall. as in width and length. I wasnt trying to be like "HEY MAN WE DONT WANT YOUR CARS HERE" I was just saying ^__^ but like I said im sure if you had enough guys to run the class they would just let you run it.

I didn't think you meant that either. I was just putting the info out there.

I like the 1/7th more because they are far more scale apperance looking.

Like I said, I will have both the IGT and the Hyper out there saturday if anyone wants to see them in person. Probably have a worn out 528xr/jp2 in the Hyper, and a new 30vg/jp2 in the IGT. Both are fun to drive though the Hyper 1/7 looks amazing when its screaming. The gearing only lets me hit about 50mph with the Hyper but it gets there very quickly. The IGT will be faster for virtue of being 2lbs less, and having higher gearing. (Hyper is 13/17 with a 56/52 spur, and the IGT is 14/17 with a 48/44 spur)

Yeah I understand the liking of bigger scale. I was looking at an FG 1/5th Scale formula 1 Car. That was sic...but it was also almost 2 grand.

Three of us ran our spec cars last night. had a ball. ran with the stock tires. I have 9 tanks on them. maybe 5 tanks left. I still want to check out the V slick before we make a tire rule.
Drew you missed out. Let Mike A. drive it and after only a few laps he looked pretty good. think he'll have one soon. as soon as he talks Lynn into it.

I never said you guy can't race your cars here. We will make a class if there is at lease 4 cars. But spec class is spec class. It would not be fair to have a 1000 dollar car racing a 400 car. If you want to race spec class it will have to be with our rules. St Louis track said they also will be running this spec class. So put your IGT back to stock and have fun with us.

I'll never go back to stock. stock kyosho RTR motors are terrible. I've never seen a good one, everyone I know has problems with them. If the engines were more reliable i might have left mine in.

Maybe some people care about losing to a faster car, but no one seems to care in 1:8th scale buggies and truggies. I don't really care about losing, I just want track time with them. All I ever wanted really, I'd rather run against the clock. For me its about driving it, not racing it. In fact the only time i ever visit a track is for open practice. I can't leave stuff stock, I'm not into the hobby to leave something stock. I have to mod it, make it my own. Whether its chassis/suspension/drivetrain its more fun to mod it and make it insanely fast. Thats where I get my fun. I can't even leave my 1:1 car stock, so the RC's get modded much worse.

bernie are proline road rages gonna be allowed or no?

Thirdgen in onroad i would say it has more to do with the kinda car you really have, if you have more motor you will almost always win. Plus if the car is better setup you will have a huge advantage. Racing buggy ive seen guys have the exact same setup and it ends up all coming down to driving, then ive seen guys with budget stuff beat guys that put a couple g's into. Offroad really is alot more about the driver than onroad is IMO

I think we will use the V slick by kyosho. Three compounds to pick from. I should have some today. This is the tire the ST. Louis guys are running.

Yeah...I would def say engine plays a HUGE role in onroad...and besides they said the Kyosho engines have air leak problems. Seal them up with some good ol RTV. Runs like a top I am sure once you fix that. Spec class seems to be a pretty BA Idea...I'm in once I get the extra money.
