Can't run Lipo in races, but you can run lipo there during open practice and stuff. Mainly because lipo provides a major advantage in that you can run the entire main pretty much without pitting. So when someone comes in to pit you've got a couple of seconds on them in an instant.
Though Li-Ion should be allowed, its doesn't catch fire even when you puncture it with a nail. The M1 A123 cells work great, and you can pick them up for about $10 a cell on ebay (dewalt 36v packs contain 10 M1 cells for $100. Make your own 5s2p packs for about 16.5v @ 4600mah) Thats what i'm using for my offroad brushless whenever I get around to it. Already have the electric motor mounts for the Hyper 1/7, and the Jammin buggy/truggy. Little Toys: Hyper One Seven | Inferno GT | Jammin X1cr | Jammin CRT Pro | 1989 Batmobile Replica |
