Any bashers in the city? - Chitown R/C - Chicago's Largest RC Car and Truck Community

Hey everybody, just wondering if anybodys bashing in the city and if there are any good spots? I rarely see fellow RC'ers in the CHI and I think there out there, anyway im in NW side of chicago and I run a TMaxx, Tc3, Pirate 10, Mini T, Serpent impulse pro, Serpent 705.

I live at Clark/Diversey. I rarely bash anymore, but there is great spot along the river right behind DeVry on Western and Belmont. It's the old Riverview Park ruins. Lot's of great jumps!

I go there once in awhile but bashing by yourself is just too damned boring. That's why I'm a race fanatic. I live for racing every weekend.

I'd love to get together in the city, it would be much closer to me than anything else since I take the train to Randolph and Michigan.

I've been to the "Devry jumps" a couple times, they are sweeet. There is a Jewel on Roscoe and Western, go west from the light and you'll see Devry pretty much strait ahead. Go through the parking lot (strait west) and you'll see another neiborhood street. Go right on the street to a parking lot RIGHT AWAY on your left. Park there. Go to a hole in the fence about 100ft from where you park. You'll see jumps just inside the fence opening.

I know it sounds like a treasure map but it'll get you there.

I've been there before, its been about 12+ years so I dont remember much, just the nice jumps, the trees, and the animals that seemed to be sacrificed.

RC Dad, you would take the #151 Sheridan or #156 LaSalle bus to Diversey and Sheridan. Then transfer to the #77 Belmont bus at the same bus stop. Take #77 west to the first stop past Western (by the old folks home). Go west up the bridge almost to the top and take the ramp on your right down to the riverfront. Walk north 75 ft and look into the woods. It's right there. Very, Very easy to find.

I would like to find this place. Is this still there?

Link didn't work for me. The Devry jumps are still there,I was there two weeks ago, had a blast. Across the street on the east side of Rockwell is Devry's HUGE parking lot, for some serious on road action

The jumps and the parking lot are on Rockwell, Jumps are on the west side of Rockwell in the wooded area behind devry. You can gain access to the area by going west on Addison, then make a left down rockwell. It's opposite the blue box(DEVRY)on the map.

I'll probaly be there sunday,if I break-in my motors in time, let me know when your going, I might pass by.

Thats REALLY close to me ( California and diversey). A few who have seen me bashing on the streets have mentioned that place by Devry, I have tried to find it twice, but haven't yet. If Im home Sun, maybe I'll take a bike ride back there. I was told it was an old dirt bike track or something of the sort.

Yep, Old BMX AND Mountain bike trail. I might take a shovel and a broom to make some modifications. LOL!!

And forgot to mention, We had a BBQ bash there back in august and it was a riot, I met some good guys(Blackwolf,firesprink,Mr.tune,satoch,Thenewguy ,Tex,Patrick) drank some beer and BBQ'ed without any problems from the authorities. We spent the whole darn day there
