What kinda tranny is that? Nice mount by the way!!!! Aren't those leafs those Diaz ones? How ya gonna drive the trans, ya need to mount your motor where the 1:1 engine would be and run some kinda shaft down to the trans! Looks awesome by the way man, makes me want to build one and stop on the tuber now!!!!

Wheely king trans, The tranny is really a terrible one to use as it is so massive and has a poor reduction. The internals on that case have a less then 2:1 ratio. I plan to make a compact gearbox maybe out of a bunch of pinions or another transmission near the trucks original engine compartment to further reduce the drivetrain. The bench seat and interior hog a lot of space down the middle of the truck and I didn't want the 70t 32p spur sticking through the seat or be the lowest point on the truck.
Using the dias leafs currently, just lexan cnc springs basicly. Can't tell if I like them just yet as they are extremely soft an they wrap and flex a lot. But, at least they won't get worn and bent like the metal springs. Just once this truck is RTR the springs might sag a bit. I guess I could always put some shocks on it with internal springs from a clicker pen. |

Made a whole lot of progress last night.
Mounted the stealth (Waiting on the bearings) ![]() Made the driveshaft to the transfer case, It's overkill I know. ![]() I also started work a bellcrank steering setup that looks like a steering box. I had to because of the transmission, the servo will be located further back on the chassis. ![]() ![]() When I saw this drawer organizer at the hardware store I couldn't resist. ![]() Instant truck bed. ![]() Could also be used as a camper shell. ![]() I shortened it up a little, then made wheel wells from a 3" PVC plumbing cap. I'll have to paint it later. ![]() ![]() I want to get some kind of toolbox in the back to cover those goofy cab bars. ![]() Battery will have to fit under the bed as I can't really find a place up front. The location shouldn't be too bad as the trans is so far forward. Fits quite well for not planing for it. ![]() ![]() Seat still fits, But I think I will remake it anyway if just looks big and brite. I'll make it out of styrofoam to that way water won't effect it. ![]() |

Did you lock the stealth tranny, or get a spool for it? I was wondering as if you didn't then your truck might not go anywhere.
