It's a discountinued model from Futaba. You might want to consider something newer. The JR xs3 and xs3pro are very popular, as are the Spektrum radio systems. Nomadio systems are starting to get purchased as well. If all you want is synth FM, the JR systems are very cost effective, and they can be upgraded to Spektrum modules. Just read the product info carefully and ask questions before you buy. If all you do is bash, and don't need to worry about freq conflicts with other people, any multiple memory radio system should work for you. I have a Futaba system that uses crystals (2PL) and it's fine for what I use it for and it was $75 with 2 servos and rx. It's just AM and not synth. But it does have EPA, trims, etc.. Hope this helps. You'll hear more tomorrow when everyone gets back from the DD race in Elburn today. |

Not sure I like the set up on the new Spektrum radio, but I'd like to hear some feedback before I make up my mind.
I can get the 3Pj for dirt cheap and according to Spektrum they can be upgraded. I was just wondering if is worth getting or would the M8 be a better base to build on. |
