A revo is a good choice, most people are happy with them as monster trucks.
Like new guy said though, if its missing alot of parts then it may not be cost effective to put back together, or you may be discouraged at all of the parts you might have to buy. Best thing to do would be to get him to do a inventory with pictures. If you have questions you can post them here on chitown and those more familiar with Revo's may be able to tell you what you are missing and what it might cost to put it backtogether before you buy it. I would just get a 3.3 maxx chassis. They are really strong. Heard bad things about ti. or check out the predator chassis-- the best thing since sliced bread

Tmaxx vs LSP = LSP owns.
I've seen a Nitro 4tec 3.3 go head on against a 1/8th scale buggy, that was worse. The 4tec just exploded, parts went EVERYWHERE. We found a wheel, and several pieces of the gas tank about 40 feet from the wreck. When the 4tec hit the buggy the 4tec got stopped dead in its tracks. Didn't bend the chassis but everything else was gone. I had a Tmaxx, it was terrible. 3ft jumps would crack front bulk heads. I don't regret selling that POS for $25. Was much happier with my 1/8th scale buggies. Whack a tree, buggy wins. Little Toys: Hyper One Seven | Inferno GT | Jammin X1cr | Jammin CRT Pro | 1989 Batmobile Replica |
